Needs knee surgery again. Out for 2 months.
He is their best player and motivator.
Can see their slump continuing now and us easing past them before the split if we can keep our **** together

Not sure, unfortunately.

He's not been on great form recently anyway, apparently.

They'll probably get at least a draw at the weekend and will (again) probably get to the SC Semi-final next Tuesday.

We will have to beat the Huns tomorrow to keep our own momentum going, before worrying too much about that lot.

Tend to agree with you but he is a massive character in their team due to his prickish nature which they'll sorely miss in this stage of the season no doubt.

Don't think he was properly over the last injury when this new injury occurred.
Like you I have been told he hasn't been back to top form but is still very influential. I think it will be detrimental to their chances of keeping ahead of us.
They have 2 away league games away at Dundee & Hamilton and we have Rangers & Motherwell at home.
We need to beat Motherwell and have a free punch at Rangers and hope they don't win both.
Hopefully after that we can set about closing the gap on both Hearts and Kilmarnock.

He turned up fat and unfit.
Potter went mental and he has been on the fringes ever since.
Mostly playing in the reserves.
They have 6 strikers but none of them are close to being as good as McNulty.

Craig Bellamy has done plenty for charity, including donating at least a million pounds of his own money and raising many millions more. He sponsors sports teams in the UK and a Sierra Leone charity. He's also shown himself to be quite unlikeable on many occasions.

Good deeds do not always make you a good person. I'm not sure what Naismith is like off the pitch but he certainly doesn't do his reputation any favours on it.

To be honest, I think that being part of football is a bit like showbusiness and often moulds certain unsavoury and unlikeable characteristics. I would like to think that their actions off the pitch are truer pointers to the type of people they really are, but it doesn’t stop me from detesting Naismith the footballer. I hope he gets over his bad injury in time to enjoy his summer holidays.:greengrin

Big decision for them.
3 knee injuries in 5 years
If they sign him and pay him £8k a week and the knee goes again in October they will be screwed.
Big gamble and one i wouldn't like us to take based on his age and injury record.

He was well liked at Norwich, very successful and the fans loved him - however the thinking was that he was not quite sharp enough now at their level, wouldnt really play much last season or this, and from his family perspective, a move back to Scotland would be handy.

That from a Norwich fan of my acquaintance.

p.s. I dont really disagree with what you have said - Its nice he does stuff for charity, but lots of people do and still manage to behave like a decent human being on the pitch (Lewis Stevenson for example).

Given that Uche "folk hero" Ikpeazu has scored about one goal in 10, you can see how important Naismith is to them.

Without him, they are pretty one dimensional and rely completely on Uche knockdowns to midfielders - mind you, that sounds pretty much like Leveins wet dream tactically.

At Maine Road. They had a kiosk on the concourse named after him.
I think Selkirk were working on a statue?

I also reckon Matt Busby is a well celebrated and former Hibernian marked forever at Old Trafford.
