Found dead at age 49. Loved the Prodigy back in the 90s. Fat of the Land a cracking album.

Yea, both great albums. I remember buying Charly (the song) when I was at school.

Gutted at this news.

Prodigy were the soundtrack of my teenage years.

Fat of the Land came out when I was 16, still one of my favourite albums. All songs are total bangers.

Liam Howlett has confirmed it as suicide. So sad.

Sad news but just like Amy Winehouse it was tragically predictable.

Met him twice in Germany when I lived there. All of the band were real gents and Keith was really nice, the image was a whole lot scarier than his personality. RIP Keith

Extremely sad to hear this since I'm a massive prodigy fan.

Seen them in Glasgow only a couple of months ago. Absolutely gutted & shocked

Rest easy Keith!

A real shame; took his own life at 49. I don't know much about him; did he have a history of depression?

The Prodigy were a huge musical influence on me, one of the first dance music acts that I got into, having previously only listened to guitar music. I saw them live a couple of times and Keith’s energy and stage presence were incredible, he was a great showman. I was saddened when I heard of his passing but the fact that he took his own life makes it all the sadder. RIP Keith.

Saw them supporting Oasis at Knebworth in August 96. Firestarter had been released in March that year and of course it was a massive hit, they also played Breath which had not yet been released as a single but was on the Fat of the Land album.

Keith managed to whip the crowd up into a frenzy and was singing and dancing along the barriers that seperated the inner pen from the rest of the crowd. It was quite a performance that I still remember to this day.

The early stuff always takes me back to a certain place and time. Everybody in the Place. Sad news.

We are the same age hibsbollah and my memories from back in the day are happy ones. Sad news indeed, RIP Keith. I still watch the video to Everybody in the place regularly, watching Charly tonight and I’d forgot what a wonderful tune it is.

Like so many others, the prodigy were a big part of my formative years. A commercial act yet always acceptable.

Why?

Managed to be underground and commercial. Still get goosebumps at the start of Charlie, first heard it at Pure in Edinburgh, place went mental!
