Great assist from Omeonga there! Mon Hibs.
Thanks for that. BBC had the ball played in by Dominique Malonga.

Definitely the Rangers game. Maybe the Motherwell one but it’ll depend how many yellow cards he’s had this season
right enough
p.s. four yellows
5 now

They also have a picture on the 'live reaction' page of McNulty supposedly celebrating his goal....but its clearly from last week as a. It's Mallan and b. Shaw is in the background and he didn't come on tonight!

****ing delighted with that, great second half turn around. Feared the worst when Slivka got sent off, thought he maybe should have been subbed before the inevitable happened. Superb assist from Dom Malongaomeonga. Now put those *******s to the sword on saturday:flag:

Well said, i know some of the posters may be jambos but some of the comments on here are beyond belief.
Oh for ffs,the defence was dreadful for much of the game, get real.
The result was ,of course,wonderful.
FWIW I'm watching game now & one thing I think we need to sort is our responsibilities at corners. Milligan isn't bad in the air but he's not the biggest. He could have conceded a penalty on Friday & he was comprehensively beaten for their goal tonight. Great result though!

Was critical of Stevenson, Hanlon and Mallan who all had poor games in my opinion. I can only tell you what I am seeing with my eyes.
Its not my fault Stevenson let Kennedy get the ball in the box everytime, or Hanlon has turned into the Pillsbury dough boy, or Mallan is only good at striking at ball, and dreadful at anything that constitutes a midfielder.
Dug deep in the end, and Omeonga was the best player on the park when he came on.
Can't think of an uglier set of defensive midfielders than Milligan and Bartley, did well.
Kamberi worked hard again, and went on a serious mazey in the second half.
All credit to Heckingbottom for that win, keeping two up top, and bringing on Bartley and Omeonga were great decisions.
Couldnt make the game tonight but watching it on Alba just now. Given some of the comments on here and social media, I was expecting our first half performance to be terrible with our defence all at sea. I’m not seeing it. First half been average, but other than the goal and the chance on the counter attack, what else have St Johnstone created. I was expecting numerous chances with poor finishing from Saints or numerous saves from Rocky as a result of our “past it” defence. Absolute drivel being spouted when the team go a goal down.
Brilliant result given our record at Perth, and the red card. 👏👏

I'm the same. We weren't great in the first half but far from the car crash being described. Best half still to come. For all the defence is criticised it doesn't concede a huge number of goals

Milligan has cost us goals at corners a few times now, losses his man and doesn't jump.

Will be a big loss as he really has come into his best form since signingCan't agree tbh he was poor tonight and Heck should have hooked him long before the 2nd yellow...him and Mallan were both very poor tonight. Which is baffling considering it's the defence getting it in the neck on here

His performance tonight reminded me of his worst moments for Hibs.He was absolutely murder...the Liam Craig I remember oh so vividly at Hibs. Yet he continually waltzes around the pitch like he's Pele or something. His actions at delaying the pen should have resulted in a booking too

Watched it on ALBA …. I have to say I thought our first half performance was woeful we lacked any dynamism, were second to every ball and our passing and lack of movement was as bad as its been all season …. how often are we going to lose goals from free kicks or corners to the back post which are won by the opposition and headed back across goal before we recognise we have a problem in that area?
Having said that the second half performance was much much better, in no small part thanks to Omeonga, and what a brilliant goal the winner was. To play nearly a half with 10 men and come away with a victory is a great effort, especially at a ground where we rarely do well. Slivka needs a talking to though, he was rightly booked for a stupid dive and a ref who had just awarded a pretty soft penalty jumped at the chance to even the score by give him a 2nd yellow, a chance an intelligent player should never have given him. I don't like to see Hibs players diving anyway.
We battled well in the end and scored a brilliant goal … but if we put in a performance on Saturday like we did for 55 minutes tonight we have no chance of turning Celtic over. In short, a great result achieved in no small part by the team sticking with it and showing a much improved attitude in the 2nd half, but not such a great performance.

I’m amazed we’ve gone to a venue that we rarely win at, gone down to ten men and still come away with the three points. Brilliant subs from Heckingbottom and a positive move in keeping us with two strikers probably won us the match.
The signs so far are good. We might lack a bit of quality in certain areas but we certainly seem to be working hard as a team.
