He scored a few for St Mirren in the box and even a header but his Hibs goals, are as far as i can recall, are free kicks and shots from outside the box.

It's facts the OP was looking for. Whether he had scored all of his goals outside the box is a verifiable point. How much it actually matters is debatable.

I don't think there was any criticism there. More highlighting an impressive record.
