What an idiot. Apparently could face up to 3 years in jail. Folk were rightly on his side to begin with, but imagine there will be a huge backlash from the gay and black communtiy for trying this stunt.

Never heard of the show or the actor.
But if he IS guilty I hope he gets banged up for the longest term possible.
His actions will likely have made it harder for genuine victims to get justice.

This guy is gonna get a lot of hate.
When it was first reported I was a little cynical, the fact the assistants were white in an area where "whites" have their heads down after the blue on black saga. The fact it was a homophobic attack when there was nothing overtly homosexual about the victim, the whole noose issue.
On the whole it was an abhorrent attack that ticked every box you could tick for a hate crime.
For it then to transpire it was done to raise good profile in an alleged attempt to raise pay,,,,
It'll probably come out that he has psychological issues, if so, let's hope he gets all the help he needs and deserves but more than that, let's hope no other hate crime goes without due regard and process because of this one individuals selfish pursuit
