Amazing performance in an amazing film. Loved Downfall.

I expect Jacob Rees Mogg to fall to pieces in a similar way when the chickens come home roost.

He's brilliant in Downfall. It's also to his great credit that he liked the parodies saying that he liked the creativity of those who did them.

His finest couple of hours must be Wings of Desire though. He is superb in that as the angel

Downfall is one of the best ww2 films ever made. Bruno should have got a Oscar award for his performance in Downfall.

Magic! Berlin is almost like a character in the film. The library scene is one of the greatest film scenes in history imho.

Totally agree about W of D.

I thought it was a bit of a shame that media focused so much on the YouTube parodies in his obituaries.

Good for him for being a sport and paying tribute though.

He also had one of my favourite film death scenes in a film called Unknown, starting Liam Neeson. The film itself was a pretty obvious rip off of The Bourne Identity, but Ganz was magnificent in it as a retired Stasi officer. His death scene is one of my top film scenes from any film. Mesmerising...

Wee bump to say Downfall is on film 4 at 2100 tonight (followed by starred up, another brilliant fim)
