View Full Version : 4 penalties for the rangers at Ibrox!

Does anyone know if a team has had 4 penalties in a game before?

Not suggesting there is any favouritism at play or anything like that. 👀

No coincidence it's the same team that got 12 or whatever home draws in the cup in a row.

Did we not get 4 penalties when Donaldson scored 3 and missed the other?

BBC report on the game is a joke, no reference to how extraordinary it is for one team to get 4 pens. If it was any other team in Scotland it would be a massive story.

Clear penalty. You all need to move on as Rod would say.

Gerrard quoted as saying they should have had five penalties. Was he jesting perhaps?

Ha Ha the refs and the SFA are going to do everything in their power to stop Sellick winning 10 in a row :faf:

Concerning Clayton Donaldson. My recollection is that he scored a hattrick against Kilmarnock and two of those were penalties. He also took a third penalty but didn't score from it.

It was Dallas junior, which didn't surprise me.

Only 3 penalties in the Kilmarnock game. We should have had a fourth as I recall.

Should be pulled up for diving, horrendous decision from the ref.

I expect Wednesdays ref to even it up and give Celtic a similar amount of pens vs us.

To be fair if you watch the actual clip and not the still image his momentum carries home into the box and he is almost carrying the nallnin both hands when he does enter the area, albeit it wasn’t a very for deliberate handball it certainly stopped the cross and he did handle in the area eventually.

Yeh, you have to watch the full clip and it's sorta understandable why it was given although both the ref and linesman seemed clueless at the time to know whether to give a pen or free kick, they just waited for the rangers players reactions and then he gave it. It's whether the ball touches his arm on the way down- From what I've seen it looks like the only contact on the arm was outside the box and that's where the contact stops. Then there is Defoes dive, he tried to stay on his feet because in any other league in the world he would've been booked for simulation.

Tbf, I'm not convinced it's a dive, definitely not a penalty though.

Ridiculous.

Somebody at work said there’s only one other club that has had 4 penalties in one game and that was the now defunct.. no sure if it’s true or not but found it quite funny.

The scary thing is that everyone knows its corrupt and we have evidence to back it up. But it doesn't make a difference.

I'm not honestly stunned they allowed us to win the Scottish Cup.

I can't be bothered with Scottish football at times.

Dallas jnr will become worse than his father if he is allowed to get away with such blatant mistakes.

I feel so gutted that that despite his decision making he appears so blase about his refereeing.

Let's hope His Holiness does not want to visit Scotland again.

Very incriminating stats. But there's no corruption in Scottish football just bad refs. John Beaton and Andrew Dallas, the latest in a long line of cheating refs.

Clubs who play at Ibrox must just be very lucky then because they always seem to benefit from this so called incompetence.

Not one of them was definately a pen. I might concede the first one...but even then it's mostly dive..I don't buy all the "if there is any contact at all he is within his rights to go down" nonsense.

Why do we care what happens at ibrox. For years, in my life time we complain but the same occurs week in week out against both sets of the ugly sisters.

We had a chance to change it when the team formally nlknkw as rangers went tits up and we, as a club bottled it. We need to accept that this rubbish is partly out doing! 🤬😬

I think that's unfair on Hugh Dallas

He was a very good referee in his time

Sadly for us, the younger Dallas is no where near it

I disagree. Do you remember when he was hit on the head by a coin at Parkhead?

A short while after he awarded a penalty to Rangers. No one, not one Rangers player claimed a penalty.

I believe his anti Catholic disorder showed its true self.

Did he not also warn children that the Pope was in town. Ok, a joke but he sent it on the SFA server.

I don't want to condemn the man full stop but he was an ok ref, no more.

If you remember correctly it was a penalty kick to be fair. The Catholic chat is really poor from yourself. He didn't ask to be hit on the head with a coin.

As for the email, fair enough but he stupidly forwarded an email that was sent to him and was rightly sacked.

The lot we had in the 90s and early 2000s are far better than the mince we have now
