Right - forget all the shenanigans- its game day

Huge game for us today given the past few days of drama

Be very interesting to see the line up and how, if at all, grant murray/eddie may change it

We simply need 3 points

Any early team news?

If Kamberi plays, I hope for his sake he puts in a performance. With Gauld in, there should be a better service to the strikers.

If Kamberi continues with his lacksadaisical attitude, his days could be numbered. He doesn't have the excuse of verbal abuse from Lennon to fall back on anymore.

Yes he was Scotland left back for a good few years. Perhaps the management want to go for experience to steady the ship? How about we see how the game goes before riding Whittaker dry? I don’t think it’s the time to rip induvidal players or selections when we are effectively managerrless and it’s a massive massive match if we have any hope to make top six.

Asked? Impression I get is it wasn't so much "asked"...

All I've heard is:

"Not working hard enough"
"Not playing good enough"
"Need to do more"

That's publicly as well. Leeann is now rumoured to have heard what was said and taken action without it being reported to her. That suggests what was said was bad and not "asking" for better performances.

I didn't have much of an issue with what the pundits had to say tbh.

If Lennon had picked that team I'd probably have been moaning away. I also hate talk of "our most experienced team'. Bollocks to that, you pick your best team, and at the moment it doesn't have Whittaker in it let alone Mallan.

We are very short of options though, so I'd have sympathy for anyone picking that team.

And re playing McGregor up front - I'd genuinely back that decision. We're short of punch up front and what Kamberi needs more than a bollocking, a chair thrown at him, a lesbian show from Whittaker and Lennon or an arm round him is somebody up front with him to share the burden. I actually think he'd play well with a big, ugly target man so if someone decided that today we were going to go direct, lump it up at McGregor and have Kamberi buzzing about next to him then I'd have supported that.

Interesting day for Mallan. I reckon we'll be overpowered in midfield again by a team fighting for their lives.

Delighted to see Gray back though. That is the single one change that we've needed to make the most.

The difference in standard and ambition is stark.

"Whether players play good or bad, they always try their best" or something to that affect. Not heard that from Lennon in a while.

Words are cheap as well. Interviews mean nothing at the end of the day. If we win 5-0 today will we be questioning the ambition in May's interview?

May is clearly very nervous when a camera is pointed at him also, so I'd not read much into his interview.

If you ain’t doing good enough in your job then your manager is going to pull you aside and tell you that you can do better. If you continue to not reach the standard you are capable of then your manager is going to continue to tell you that you are not doing good enough. "pull you aside" - Lennon hasn't done that. My manager doesn't do an interview or promote my lack of performance to the entire business or to my colleagues. "tell you that you can do better" has two sides - it can either be "heads up Flo, things haven't been great. Keep working hard and it'll turn around. We need your quality" or it can be "you are a waste of a shirt, you cannot control the ball, you cannot shield a ball, what an utter waste you are".

How do we know Lennon hasn't said "Right guys, whats everyone's opinion on Kamberi?"...

And if your manager constantly tells you your not good enough, let’s everyone else in the team know your not good enough, blames the entire teams poor performance on you and tells anyone who listens they are desperate for someone to replace them then pretty soon your going to dread going to work and wonder what the point is of putting any effort in on the first place.

Had Lennon taken him aside, put an arm around his shoulder and said “we know how good you are and I believe in you try doing this and see if it works” we wouldn’t be here.

Just because they are footballers doesn’t mean they should expect to be treated like that just like we would hate to be treated like that in our jobs

How do you know this? Lennon said weeks ago in interview that they had been speaking privately to Kamberi for quite some time to get his energy/performance levels up in games.

Listen to Eddie May’s interview there and compare it to Lennon.

The difference in expectation and ambition is stark.

Lennon wasn’t happy about us missing out on 2nd place.

Every other manager has been delighted if we made the top 6.

That’s what we’ve got to look forward to again.

That’s presumably come from The Sun article written by Lennon’s pal Derek McGregor.

I see the 3 stooges in the studio have been briefed by Lennon's team as well, slating the recruitment team for signings they have brought in, aye Lennon never had a say ya 3 bams.

FWIW Derek McGregor is a really good lad and normally a decent, balanced reporter who has no axe to grind with Hibs.

He'll be close to Kenny Millar and I'd be surprised if anything he gets hold of is far off the mark.
