Now that Lennon has gone, could he be the answer to our striking problem? Is he available?

No, he was one of Lennon's biggest mistakes. Might even been the start of all the bother. Can we hire folk that act professionally please

Handy guy to have around if theres a fire though, always be a legend after the Stokes Final but not for Hibs anymore.

Are we alone in our desire to bring back former players? It's rampant every transfer window.

Was wondering this myself. Likely not exclusive to us, but so backward and parochial

On a similar note, if McGeouch continues to struggle at Sunderland maybe he’d be an option in the summer? Widely rumoured that NL was one of the factors in him leaving m.

Think it's quite a common and understandable temptation in Scottish football. Fans are nostalgic for the good times and an old star returning stirs the memories and offers the (often misguided) hope of a return to former glories. For the clubs it's an easy win, in the first instance at least. Doesn't always work out though.

We are very prone to it but as are Motherwell, Rangers and I'm sure many others if I spent time thinking about it.

We cant keep going back to old players/managers

Lendo
26-01-2019, 12:24 PM
No.

Why do we have such an obsession with bringing back ex-players? Stokes will
be a lengend for the cup final, but he just couldn’t give a **** in the smaller game. The one that stands out in my mind was last seasons home game against Hamilton when we lost 1-2.

(Someone will point out Stokes scored in that game late on, but he awful and lazy for the other 88 minutes)

Aye with Akpo Sodje and Oli the goalie to complete the team of clean living, successful examples who will be able to lecture the players on the virtues of a healthy lifestyle.

I’ll get my coat...

If I got the best ride of my life whilst having it, and my sex life had been pretty crap since, I’d be tempted.

It's been a bit unhinged on here since the derby defeat, and the Lennon saga has only increased the insanity :greengrin

Are you forgetting this guy scored two goals in the greatest game many Hibs fans have ever witnessed? You compared him to an STD. Show some respect ✊🏻

Might be our only option for another striker at this rate.
