Does this guy have something against Lennon or Hibs?

The number of times they are credited with an interest in either one of our targets (almost immediately after we are) or one of our players is beyond the realm of just coincidence. They signed McGeouch, attempted to sign Kamberi and McGinn, and were credited with an interest in Mallan, Allan, Hendry and Morgan (among others) shortly after it was reported we were. McNulty is the latest one.

I get that a League One club will have overlapping targets with us from time to time, and that Ross is in the market for Scottish players, but really? Almost EVERY target? I bet he's not been linked with all of Aberdeen's or Hearts' targets, for example. 70-80% of the time in an article about a player we are after the next line is "Sunderland are interested". Not a random English club, not even another League One club. Sunderland. Every time.

It just reeks of some kind of grudge between Ross/Lennon or just a lazy transfer policy based on "Hibs have signed good players before so we'll just copy them." Either way, it surely isn't a coincidence?

Just because a newspaper reports Hibs or Sunderland are in for a player doesn’t make it true. It’s most likely a case of lazy journalism than a lazy transfer policy.

A lot of the linking of players with them appears on hibs.net or in the media. Maybe there is no truth in most of it

You think Sunderland, who are currently trying to resurrect the club and get promoted from League 1, are chasing signings just to piss off Neil Lennon?

By English football's standards Hibs and Sunderland have very little money to spend, and with fairly high expectations both clubs will be looking to get value in the transfer market. Jack Ross know the Scottish leagues well, and I would imagine the scouting systems of the respective clubs will unearth similar targets.

Talk of any sort of grudge is, imo, absolute nonsense. Even if the managers didn't like each other or had some sort of personal grudge their professional reputations are on the line. Neither of them would have got anywhere in the game if they allowed pettiness like that to get the better of them.

Tommy Block was there on trial in Dec too.

Maybe they share the same contacts (eg. agents etc)? I doubt Ross is dedicating his first big manager role to sticking two fingers up at Lennon.

Tommy Block is an undercover operative, sent by Jack Ross to Easter Road to get the crowd singing that Baby Shark song and irritate Neil Lennon.

1-0 Jack Ross.

Little does he know it yet, but Dylan McGeouch is also an undercover agent. He's just picking the right moment to give Jack Ross an atomic wedgie on behalf of Neil Lennon.

Are you sure? He was there a year ago before Jack Ross even took the job. He was at East Mains for two separate spells in December.

They appreciate Dylan so much he was on the bench today. Not brought on and they drew.

Get him back on loan before the end of January please.

Maybe a scout/agent linked with both clubs?

Sounds as though he doesn't have any good connections elsewhere. Quite clear by the sounds of it. He'll get found out before long. Surprised he's still there tbh.

Was at that game yesterday, fans confused as to why he was dropped as arguably had his best game in previous match. Instead Cattermole played and did nothing.

Jack Ross will be punted if they do not go up.
