Fairest way to do it if there’s a smaller allocation available for the unrestricted view than what we have in away season ticket holders

It is what it is.

Seems fair enough. I’ll be restricted, certainty! 😂

It's definitely the fairest way in my imo. The online system is basically a ballot but with an advantage to the folk who aren't working at the time the tickets go on sale

Sounds like someone with some common sense has been drafted in to deal with ticketing decisions. Hopefully, the same system will be rolled out for Derby tickets for seats left after AST holder have theirs.

I'm just happy to get a ticket if it's unrestricted then it's a bonus.

So those in a group have an increased chance of “winning”? Has anyone complained yet?

Does that mean everyone without an away ST will get restricted view?

I've no issue with this JB, fairest way to do it.

Here’s a fairer way to do it. Those who get a restricted view this time get a unrestricted view next time ( dependant on if they are going to both games )

It can’t be fair that if you’re in a group all get a ticket?

What about a group that have 50 in it vs one that has 2? Or the guy that goes on his win?

No system will be perfect. Not splitting groups up makes sense. If the fans who have the AST are happy enough with that then there is no problem really is there?

Happy with that. Had an unrestricted view last time and it wasn't two bad tbf

Nor should unrestricted be a bad view.

No I agree I t’s not a problem if they’re happy with it. I’m just surprised based on their input on other threads that they are (unless they’re all in large groups so all have the same %age chance).

Any complaints should be directed to the weegies. £28 to sit behind a muckle pillar, losing the view of approx a quarter of the pitch? Shambles.

^ Nowhere near a quarter of the pitch. View isn't as bad as some make out, largely exaggerated.

Hibs also sell restricted view tickets with hand rails etc in the view. A work pal had one for Hertz on the 29th, think they took a quid off it.

How do you work that out ??

Group probably have less chance going by the email.

We recognise that a number of away season ticket holders, hold their ticket as part of a group to sit with friends/family. In these instances, one entry will be made in the ballot for the group and if this entry comes out the ballot, then all of those within the group will be allocated a ticket accordingly.

That clears it up and shows why no complaints. The OP didn’t say that. :aok:

Won't be many of us anyway.

Just hope Celtic don't use at as justification not to give us an increased allocation in the future.

Some of the restricted view seats are much worse than others. At the last game only a small corner at the opposite end of the pitch was hidden from view for me. At the game before that a massive part of the pitch at our end was hidden and I had to watch a fair part of that match on the big screen.

Given how much they go on about having one of the best stadiums in the world, you'd think they could sort it out.

Some of the seats terribly restricted. Some are not. To say nowhere near a quarter of the pitch is wide of the mark.

This is the view I had last time, this is in row BB and there was 2 rows in front of me and seats to my left. The people to my far left couldn’t see the goal end we were attacking in the second half.

I’ve only had one bad restricted view at Celtic, and in some instances have found the restricted view seats better than the non restricted. Famous last words - guaranteed I’ll get a stinker for next game now!

That stanchion forms part of the main stand which was modernised in 1971. Probably looked pretty impressive when erected back then, but it’s that pillar which results in the restricted view for what otherwise would be a great stadium to visit as an away fan.

You get a much better view if you buy tickets for the (home) section next to the Hibs Support.
