Some really cheap flights to Europe going for departure on Brexit day 29th March!

Must say, there are risks butI’m tempted.

I'd avoid it, the airline I work for is planning for a nofly day with the possibility to extend it.

Really? Unbelievable that you think we could be in such a position.

Maybe best to hold fire and jump quickly if the risk suddenly blows over.

Checked the theory out just to be nosey - the 29th of March seems to be the most expensive day to fly to the first few European destinations I put in.

I'm (fingers crossed) flying to Switzerland on the 31st. I'm sure it'll be fine. :worried:

I got £38 rtn flights to Malaga the week before brexit in the BA sale... Which runs until the end of the month. Flights right through the summer.

Doesn’t seem to be a genrally applicable theory.

The places I was considering for a city break were pretty cheap (Madrid, Berlin, Copenhagen) but Seville and Florence were still quite pricey.

Fair enough! I can't remember the places I tried; Porto, Viena, and a couple others I think. There was one I seen where the price almost doubled on the 29th and remianed that high after from being quite low! It could just be that a lot of people were suddenly searching for brexit holidays and the algorithims pushed prices up!

£16.99 each way for myself and the Mrs to Fuerteventura tomorrow. Hope this doesn't change because of a Tory failed dream.

Check everyone's passport has at least 6 months left on it from departure date. If there is a no deal then passports need at least 6 months on them.

That's only for Schengen countries, no?

Croatia isn't in Schengen. It will have its own requirements, which will need to be checked.

If you renewed before expiry of your old passport, you could add the remaining months on to your new 10 year passport. It looks like these extra months may now be void. IIRC up to 9 months could be added on a new 10 year passport, I think that's why they are saying up to 15 months validity

The UK government also put out a warning yesterday that private health insurance will likely be needed when travelling in the EU after the 29th of March.

Hopefully no one's used FlyBMI, I see they've gone into administration this weekend citing Brexit uncertainties and the impact of fuel costs :bitchy:

Yeh, and all the gammons online calling it project fear!

I’m not booking flights to Europe at the moment. I guess a lot of others are waiting as well.
