If Allan is in the 3 and Mallan in the 2 with a ball winner them it would stand more chance of working. They're both way too lightweight and attack minded to play together as a 2.

That might work against Elgin, but I'd be very worried about the lightweight midfield in a league game.

This - its the turnover that concerns me not who we get in. If we are at the point where folk have to give way to get others in, will the Hyndman type suspects be the ones to go or will it be e.g. gray, bartley, hanlon, mcgregor, stevenson that are under threat.

First, Elgin got pumped recently by Edinburgh City so I would say a win is a must, no excuses.

Second, I think Efe will be away. Great servant but looking for a pay day which we can't afford to give him. Thought he was outstanding last night.

Third, I think Hyndman will be away. Too many 'similar' midfielders so we are looking for someone with more creativity providing chances for strikers ( Scott Allan?)

Fourth, How many of the Australian contingent, if any, will be back and fit?

Fifth, Any other new recruits on the horizon?

Sixth, Will Lewys Stevenson be fit?

So, in my opinion, far too early to even begin speculating about a team for Elgin.

Going to be interesting though.

What team in the world that play attacking football lines up with 2 attack minded central midfielders? Winning the ball back and recycling it are 2 vital aspects to attacking football.
