Hi guys this is the only form of social media I'm on so here goes the company I work for did not pay our December wage it was on a lot of news feeds and it looks like it will be closing so not looking good I was just wondering if anyone on here knows of anywhere that will be taking on new employees in the new year preferably manufacturing or can turn my hand to most things suppose I'm clutching at straws but here's hoping.

Been made redundant twice in 5 years bud so know how you feel.

Get your email alerts set up via the main online job biards, Indeed, S1 jobs etc - you can set them to the kind of work your looking for.

Skills development scotland also have useful services that support people looking for work.

Check local motor groups. They need all sorts of employees so even if it’s not perfect if you have transferable skills they’re always looking.

I get e mails from indeed daily. Seems to be plenty scope for bus driving at the moment. Looks like they actually put you through your PCV licence. Could be an option mate, and if not get yourself registered with Indeed. I'm sure you'll find something that suits you. Merry Xmas :gwa:

There are always companies at the airport looking for able bodied people to do baggage handling? Shift work and labour intensive but steady employment to be fair,I got a part time job 23 years ago out there and still there :greengrin
And coming into the time of year when all companies out here start to look at bolstering staff levels for the summer

Sorry to hear of your situation zitelli62, hope you find something suitable soon. Horrible thing to happen at anytime but even worse at this time of year.

I've been impressed by the positive support for you from other posters, it's gone some way to renewing my faith in Hibs.netters after some poor threads recently.

The response has been amazing I have got a few good leads which may come to something and even the messages of support have been great after what myself and all the people I worked with have been through the last couple of days it restores your faith that there are good people out there I feel so humbled as to what everyone has done between Edinburgh and Livingston it's been amazing.
Once again a massive thank you to everyone for there help and all the messages of support trust me it really helped get everyone through a difficult couple of days.this is one Christmas I will never forget for the good reasons not the bad onwards and upwards.
