Hyndman might be keen to stay, but he's going to have to up his game, and deliver consistency.

He is definitely a player with something to offer us, but his game to date has, for me, been "bitty".

He was signed by fanny hat who was fired soon after . Pedro maybe didnt want him but he wouldnt know a player of 1 jumped out a bush at him . The huns i know raved about him and were gutted when we signed him

You think so? He started the season well enough, he was absolutely outstanding against Hamilton at home, he then got injured (hardly his fault) and then put in two really good performances in the last week. Probably no coincidence our performances improved when heís came back in. A quality player, and heís not scared to put a shift in also.

Our slump in form was when he was out injured and our return to form started when he came on at Hslf time v Hamilton
Not the only factor we have found form but clearly a factor if he is fit and on form

I've been impressed by Hyndman from the start, but like so many of our other good players, we've struggled to find a system that suits him and he has been part of (and sometimes left out of) a unit that has woefully underperformed.

Hopefully we're now well on our way to sorting that.

I'm surprised he wants to stay actually, as over the piece he's looked far from happy whilst with us.

This is fair I think. A lot of our midfielders have looked like they were waiting for a team mate to impose themselves and set the tempo.

They now look like they are stepping up and taking responsibility.

We don't really know if he wants to stay or not. When players are asked things like that at interview they often say what the fans want to hear. He's not going to put himself in an awkward situation between now and the end of the month by saying he doesn't want to be at Hibs.

I hope he does want to stay though as he seems to just be coming on to a game, and is one of our best players at the moment.

Well, if he wants to stay he really needs to bulk up on Turkey over the next few days because I can count four times yesterday when he was knocked off the ball far too easily.

Hyndman can be creative, but he was really frustrating yesterday.

I feel him staying all depends on who comes in next month. If we get Allan, which must be a priority, I think we should send Hyndman back south as Hibs will have a limited amount of money to spend.

My gut feeling is we wonít get Allan so Hyndman is an option, but there may be someone else out there. I thought Lawless of Livingston had a good game against us. He is a bit small, but he was clever on the ball, good technically and could be a better option than Hyndman.

You need to be strong physically to make it in that league.
He is easily parted from the ball.
Needs to look at Ryan Fraser to see what physical conditioning is required.

The same has been said about Mallan, Slivka and Kamberi. Kamberi we know can play better and Mallan offers goals from midfield and set pieces but not much else. Someone has to go to may way for new players. I'd replace Slivka and Hyndman and bring in another striker.

I think we need a player like him but not him. I do think we look marginally better with him but he doesnít actually do enough. Certainly not the worst player weíve had but screams 2012 loan signing. Heart of a mouse and an absolute disgrace to the badge. I would of sent him back to Bournemouth when he ran the ball out of play on purpose at ibrox to get out the way of the oncoming Connor Goldson challenge.

He has tried his best and been available for selection which is more than can be said for some. It has not worked out upto now but good luck to him if he returns to Bournemouth. If you make next to no challenges in a game and do your best to avoid being tackled chances are you will stay injury free until the day old age makes you hang your boots up. Hyndman is the poster boy for that theory, so its hardly a surprise he is always available.

It was interesting that the one criticism aimed at him by the Huns support was that he went missing in derby matches. No doubt he shone in most of their other games where Sevco had enough quality that he wasn't having to get involved too much physically. That's not how it is at Hibs and he is being found out. Playing the way he does he has absolutely no chance of making it at Bournemouth, or at Hibs either.

As someone else said, he will be forgotten 5 minutes after he packs his bags for Edinburgh airport.

Fair point but the constant personal attacks on here are below the belt - 'a disgrace to the badge' was one. Agreed he wont be going down as a 'legend' - its been a much more difficult season after losing McGeough and McGinn than I realised and I am constantly sitting saying to my dad at the game 'McGinn would never have lost that etc....' Losing McGinn has been a blow we still have not recovered from I dont think.

Indeed why do so many players need xyz to sign. Scott Allan I fully understand can bring out the best in the strikers but the midfield need to make their own mark.

We have a player here already who can sit in and allow things to build and players to do more creative things he is Marvin Bartley.

I remember reading on here how the penny had dropped with Hibs fans after he came on against Hamilton and actually contributed for one of the few games in the many he has featured. Didn't live up to expectations. Looked a bit of a panic signing after missing out on allan. Wasn't the worst we have ever had but not very good either. Just average.

I don't think it was that way round, I think when Hyndman became available Lennon felt Allan wasn't as much of a priority - I think Lennon sees them as similar players, hindsight will show that was a bad decision though.

Pleased with that.

May be good enough but clearly wasnít working out.

Scott Allan in to replace him now please.

Another who departs, without leaving a trace.

One of our most disappointing signings.

Good pedigree and you could see from his better moments that he clearly had a lot of ability, but he didn't show nearly enough often enough.

Maybe we didn't want to pay his wages for a month and his trip to Dubai and he will come back on the 21st January

Good riddance an absolute passenger for 90% of his time here

I think we need to pause for a moment and ask why so many members of our current squad need to have other players in beside them to help them improve? When do we come to the conclusion that a few of those players just aren't actually good enough to play for us?

100% correct.

Good, now hopefully that means we're bringing someone in

Some of the comments are a little harsh!

There is a good player in there IMO, just not suited for our team/style at the moment. Good luck to him. Albeit if this clears the path for Scott Allan to come home, I'd be delighted!

Got good reports whilst in Govan. Invisible man at us.

1 goal and 0 assists after all his involvement. That's about as grim as it gets when you're playing in his position. Don't see it as harsh whatsoever to have a go at him, good riddance.

If it is zero assists as I believe it is then my interest is in Hibs not Hyndman so glad he is gone as not good enough.

Underwhelming loan to say the least

I remember thinking when he signed, that this is a good signing. When he was at sevco, he was more than decent, and i thought we are getting a player here.

That player just never arrived, and for whatever reasons its best that we try and get someone else in.

With you there G, I couldn't remember what he did at Rangers till I watched some clips and thought the lad was a player just what we needed but he's been very poor by the standards he set the year before, bye bye and just move on.

Based on his spell here, he'd struggle at League One level. Nobody in the Championship will give him a deal. Probably destined to go to the MLS.

It's been a huge disappointment as I thought Lennon had pulled off a bit of a coup in getting him signed but he's a prime example of when a loan can fail. No desire to perform for Hibs at all.

Heíd only stand a chance in the MLS because of the totally different tempo. I donít think he could even cut it in the Scottish Championship.

Hyndman wasn't good enough to stay. He should have made that position his own as he was walking into a brand new midfield. The loan at Hibs was a tremendous opportunity for him and he failed to deliver. Can't see Bournemouth keeping him either. I was excited about him signing but he was a massive let down other than one or two games where he was marginally better than average. He's not even close to Scott Allan in terms of quality so makes it even more baffling how Allan is in the wilderness and Hyndman is on the fringes of an EPL first team.
