We're not getting out of that group. Thank god we have the play-offs.

Belgium, Russia, Scotland, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, San Marino.

That's the full actual group, it's entirely possible to get second place in that group.

Tough draw. Could have been worse but not be much.

We wouldn’t have been in Germany holland group as we are one of the hosts.

Russia must be the target to try and finish 2nd but they were very strong in the summer despite form going into it. Cyprus good trip for fans but always a banan skin.

Can’t see any other outcome than a 3rd place finish to be honest

That's a great group and one we can qualify from. The Russians are by no means the best of the 2nd seeds and on our day we can win.

Russia are nowhere near as good as people are making them out to be. It's not a bad group, the three teams below us are all pretty poor and Russia will definitely be beatable at Hampden

Any chance of the SFA looking at Easter road, tynie and pittodrie for the home games against the lesser teams?

Could be good for us that Serbia have a decent group in terms of their qualification chances. They look the most difficult potential tie in the play offs so would be good if they qualify through this method.

It's actually a really good idea.

Something the SFA are usually averse to.

Yeah, I'd rather take our group. Kosovo are better than pot 4 and will get better as more native-born players choose to play for them.

No chance. There are 30k plus members of the SSC who are guaranteed tickets for all home qualifiers and (other than the Nations League) our crowds for qualifiers never drop below 25k. No ground outside Glasgow is big enough for a competitive fixture.

Kazakhstan and Russia will be particularly tough away games. A solid home record is a must.

Best case scenario may be Belgium running away with it as that means no one else will be taking much from them.

Yeah it's a shame there isn't a middle ground of like 30/40k. Not a fan of playing at hampden with 10k+ empty seats.

Not the best fixtures from a fans perspective. Only one that's easy to get to will likely be a humping.

Belgium is great for watching football though. Was there for a game against Andorra and the fans were bouncing all the way through.

The population of India is 220 times larger than Scotland's. I'd still fancy us to give them a good game though.

What an odd post? You pick 2 clubs currently above Hibs in the table as examples of "poor quality" - two teams that Hibs have amassed a total of 1 point against all season? Livingston, who have the stingiest defence in the league, apart from Celtc? Internationally, I agree with you - we're a poor, poor side right now and definitely not one to fear - a rout over Albania and a squeaky-bum finish against Israel isn't cause for declaring us as any kind of world beaters.
