Nothing on the official site about these being closed today, so presumably we don't need protected from the Dundee fans and Hibs kids in the South and will be able to exit the normal way, unlike the St Johnstone game.

Shut again post match. Spoke to police and steward who both said this was Hibs Safety Officer decision.

Hope one of the fans reps read this. It's a total pita and utterly pointless, esp when it's matches where Hibs fans are in the south FFS!

Hi,

Just to confirm are these the gates between the South and the East where we are normally allowed to walk past the East stand from the South?

Cheers

No it’s the gates outside the West at the south stand end.
Im getting pretty fed up with it tbh. Maybe the next home game I’ll just stay in the warmth of my house and watch on an Internet stream. I won’t be missing much.

They are the gates at the West where we would walk up to get to Sainsbury's car park. Ridiculous decision to close them as it now means we walk down to the ticket office and up through far more away fans than we would have if the gates had been open as they have been for Cat B games. You now create pee'd off fans coming out to face a ridiculous decision on stewarding and walking past far more away fans than they would have. This is an even stranger decision as Hibs fans are walking round from the south mixing from the away fans. The Police say it is the club, and if it is, whoever made the decision appears to have no idea about football fans. Maybe they are in charge of ticketing arrangements for big games too!

You’d stop going because these gates are closed? ‘Deary me’.

The gates were closed and there was a barrier set up to stop fans approaching them.

And only one of the double gates at the ticket office was open.

Another completely pointless exercise.

What was going on with traffic management around stadium too.

Cars going in and out when busy crowds entering stadium - same usual nonsense at the end with folk trying to get away when traffic wasn’t moving / crowds leaving stadium.

Yes it does seem a bit pointless keeping people standing in the cold and rain (in case of trouble) I assume. But the south stand hibs fans are already mixing with the away fans. Yes I can understand it in games against the Glasgow teams and the Gorgie mob but Dundee and Hamilton no need surely.

That was pathetic. Grown men and women foaming at the mouth about not having the patience to wait a couple of minutes to let hundreds of people get through. Tooting their horns constantly. Embarrassing.

Hi Tracy slightly off topic - but feels like Hibs aren’t doing the basics for match day.

The PA system continues to be dreadful - would rather the guy just didn’t talk then the muffled sound that comes out at half time.

Hibs need to do some sort of initiative to keep the stadium cleaner - underneath the east bins over flowing and rubbish on ground (ketchups etc).

Do Hibs recycle ?

They should be actively trying to stop littering at stadium which affects the local community and surrounding streets.

I’m not sure re recycling but will certainly ask.

The stadium is being looked at at the moment. Row behind me has really dirty seats as well.

All good points and thanks. When we all sit at different parts of the stadium we don’t always see everything so appreciate you bringing these up.

Will pass on to our Facility Management and Operations Manager

Thanks again

Thanks - agree about seats.

Sit in East and some have stickers on them and other stands starting to look a little tired. Not sure solution.

All small things but I just feel we should be continuing to keep ahead and doing more for match day experience.

It’s crazy - we walked round by the TO and up the toad past the closed gate today after getting caught out with this last time.

Yes, they are.

It's totally pointless and just leads to a bunch of aggrieved punters. The Steward I spoke to said the Police were giving the Dundee Fans an escort out of the stadium. Which, by the way, was total bollox.

Unless the point was to create a dangerous bottleneck at the ticket office.

I exited that way and walked back up Albion Road through Dundee fans to get to Sainsburys, so closing the car park gates created a problem that doesn't need to exist.

No, it's the gates just outside the West next to the South we are discussing.

The gates to the left of the ticket office walking out were only open on one side creating an unnecessary bottleneck too. Of course this is where most will head after being blocked at the other gates.

Hi,

Apologies for the delay. There was due to be a safety announcement at the Dundee game to announce the gates being closed but that didn’t happen. They close them due to the information that had been received regarding the away support.

There will be an announcement tonight and further games should they decide to close them. They base it on how the Away fans are and information they receive.

They don’t anticipate them being closed tonight but will be closed for 3 upcoming Cat A games.

The security team will decide on a game by game basis for Cat B. You will get an announcement though if that’s going to happen.

Sorry probably repeated myself a bit there.

Thanks

Tracey

Makes sense they’re closed for cat a.

They’ve closed it the last few games and left you able to walk round. If you stand behind the gate you can watch Hibs fans go both ways past while you’re trapped in. Mental!
