It's slightly more inventive than 'vermin' I suppose. Quite clever by Hearts standards.

Are there any older nicknames for us that have died with time? I learn the other day for example that Brighton used to be nicknamed the Dolphins. I know we had the Bhoys right at the start of our existence, but would be interested if there were any in the 30s-70s that haven't stuck.

Our pet yam says everyone from leith is a beggar which is ironic given how much money he owes and how often he swerves buying a round.

I'd rather be a beggar than a thief seems to hit the spot.

When Mike Parry was on Talksport he was discussing Andy Murray’s support of HFC. Alan Brazil was not so sure he was Hibs but Parry put him right
“ Andy is definitely a Hibs fan , yes he is a Heebie Jeebie no
doubt “ Parry slavered.

Heard it many times, maybe I was in your class?

A common nickname for Hibs used by Hearts fans up to the 50's/60's: "The Immigrants".

Always thought it was a bit pot and kettle when Sevco fans call us that.

Spoonburners.

Still hear that phrase being used by opposition fans They must think
Trainspotting is still an accurate representation of a large section of the Hibs support

They would know best after having had their heads knocked in on their own patch by Hibs youth during the 90s and then, having failed to learn, had their bank accounts emptied by them recently.
Thick orange weedgie *******s that they are.

My father used to talk about going to see the 'Jam Tarts' one Saturday and the 'Pen Nibs' the next.

Any nickname used by Hearts fans that is basically along the lines of "ha ha they're poor and/or drug abusers" is pathetic, especially in this day and age. Reeks of faux-elitism and pompousness, which in itself is ridiculous when you consider many of the areas around Tynecastle are deprived. Deriding someone for being less fortunate is desperate and has no place in a civilised society, yet that makes up the majority of their nicknames for us.

Quite like the 'Spoonburner' one.
Sounds quite cool.

I may get that on a t-shirt.

Kickboakers seem to like refering to us a Lochenders when not calling us vermin. Not sure what they think is derogatory about Lochend as its miles better than Wester Hailes, or the areas around that reekie distillery just up the road from Dalry

I've had to bin Aldi since they had pegs on sale - on SALE mind you! - in their weekly aisle during the summer. That's just ripping out of local traders by the Germans.
