Ok, who put in the part about the wee cup???😂😂

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_League_Cup

Up until the this season 2018-2019, the Scottish League Cup was known as "the wee cup" by supporters of the Edinburgh giants Heart of Midlothian. This is because it was deemed that winning the League Cup is meaningless and beneath them. This view has been particularly prevalent since city neighbours Hibernian won the trophy in 2006.

However, this view appears to have miraculously changed amongst supporters of the famous as they have reached this season's semi-finals and feel they have an excellent chance of winning. They want to win and suddenly references to a "wee cup" are met with scoffing scepticism!

Didn’t we win it in 07? Sure it was on the t shirts?

It was indeed 2007. And 1991. And 1972.

Presumably it was too wee a cup for Hearts to win during that period?

As someone who wasn’t alive during the 1970s the 72 win always seemed like ancient history, albeit the time differential between the 72 and 91 wins is not that longer than between 91 and 07!

Of course. Complete and utter diddy cup is it not?

I’m sure it will be back to its normal name around 1530 tomorrow afternoon.

Yes until they won the Scottish Cup in 1998 They considered it a major trophy. There used to be a count at ER from the East up to the the number of years without a major trophy. ....it's going to 36 in a row. Some Hearts fans claimed their Tennants Sixes victory ended that run! Only after 98 did they start the wee cup nonsense and Hibs count since 1902.

I know its petty but football is. I can't wait till it's 56 in a row.
