Aye right.

Have you watched the game tonight? He's been utter rubbish, subbed after 60 minutes. Living on past performances, very poor when I've watched him play.

Grealish is the best player in that side, and probably the league for me. A class act who is everywhere and has everything. Gets battered all over the shop and just gets up and gets on with it.

Villa's problems are nothing to do with the players mentioned. They dominated possession but the front 2 were dreadful and the goal was the result of a shocking error by an international centre half.

I've said the very same thing about Grealish on here before, at first I said Allan was a poor mans Grealish, until I actually watched more Villa games, he's been rubbish in all the games I've seen, and I believe most Villa fans think McGinn is having a far better season than him.

Exactly, the boy was quality tonight and had nothing in front of him.

Obviously I'm being controversial on this thread.

A £40m man versus someone who can't even get onto the Celtic bench in the SPFL. However, watching Grealish tonight I thought he was poor. He reminds me a lot of Allan and I'm comparing both using Allan's performances last season for Hibs when he was very influential, albeit against a poorer quality of player.

I actually really rate Jack Grealish. I think relegation was the best thing for his career last season. But not sure Villa is the right place for him this year

I can’t believe how bad villa have been they have good players but can’t seem gel there’s just something wrong, what I’m glad about is Mcginn has been praised all season there best player

Grealish was pretty good, very tidy on the ball. McGinn was decent, didn’t waste many balls however quite a few floaty corners.
Villas strikers on the other hand were utter pish.

Re; Grealish

It’s clear he has ability. For me though he ponders on the ball for at least one touch too many and tends to make the wrong decision/pick the wrong pass.

What struck me tonight though was how poor Villa’s Strikers were.

Grealish is a terrific player. He’s given it one last season playing for the club he loves. January he will leave and he will play in the England set up, no doubt.

Grealish was the best player on the pitch tonight by a long long way.

Grealish strolls through games, hard to get the ball off him. Deserves to have better players around him.

Is good to see Mcginn doing well down there. But for the players they have Villa look pretty poor. The Hutton/Elmohammady right side is brutal.

I think that Villa will come good, maybe not this season though. Going through the stats last night, Smith was obviously brought in to make the side play attractive football. They were comparing the ages of the Villa team to the Brentford team and there was a big difference so it will take a while to get the players in he wants.

That said, Villa got to the play off finals last year so can't be any mugs. They're only 6 points off the play off places and there's stil 96 points to play for so wouldnt be writing them off yet!
