John Robertson the best? Jesus.

I remember seeing a young Alan Johnstone against us when he burst on to the scene. Cracking player.

Robbo scored against us but best player???

Best hangovers of all time.
#1 plugs I've stood on in bare feet.
Greatest world dictators ever.

A pointless and circuitous list. I always quite liked Davie Cooper mind.

Hearts and Celtic both had Willie Wallace in the 60s - a deadly striker and Lisbon Lion. Hearts and Rangers had Willie Johnston - a fine winger and a character!

I thought cooper was superb, but laudrup was a level abiove, coulda been a scary team with both of them

celtic, on his day Dicanio was world class, buthenrik larsson proved at barca he was the best theyd had since the days of jinky and co, who I never seen, so have to go henrik, ...just.

Hearts, have not been gifted with the likes of latapy or Le gods class, robertson a great striker, but niemi was a superb keeper, he really was, gordon also, says alot when best olayers are keepers!.

Robbo may not have been much of a player, but has there ever been a player who has won as many points in big games against us as he has? In terms of points won and goals scored, he's probably made the most notable contribution against us over the years, and you have to respect that, even if he wasn't anywhere near as skilful or easy on the eye as most of the players on this thread.

Dalglish-Celtic
Cooper-Rangers
Levein-Hearts

For younger readers, Dalglish was already a legend at Celtic. He captained them at a young age and was part of a fantastic side, still reaching the latter stages of the European Cup for much of his time there. He went to Liverpool and made the transition to the best English side seamlessly.

Cooper lacked lightning pace and was fairly one footed, but he had sublime control, could beat a man with ease and could cross, pass, shoot and hit a dead ball wonderfully. He was confident to the point of arrogance and was the kind of guy fans loved to hate.

Levein, pre injury was a magnificent defender. He was skillful, fast, hard and he read the game brilliantly. He had the footballing world at his feet and although he went on to have a decent enough career, his injuries came at a time when medical practice wasn’t as advanced as it is now.
