Will he survive today’s 5-1 hammering at home to Ross County?
I doubt it

Surely he’s lost the dressing room. Usually no way back.

Mind you, they’ve pulled it together across the road at Dens so you never know.

I think the fans want him out and quick. Takes a brave board to stick with him

Think there was a lot of rumours about potential financial problems, maybe they just can’t afford to sack him?

I’m sure they’ll find a way after that today though.

They're 4th in the table but floundering.
Strange appointment I thought and I'd be surprised if he's in the dugout for the next game after that. Can they afford to pay him off ?

Fair point. They're in a bad way, need to check the attendance.
Thank **** we're out of that league.

Thought at the time it was a strange appointment but I think they're stuck with him for the season for purely financial reasons, I don't think they can afford to sack him so soon. Long may they suffer :giruy2:

A low point for United today. There's quite a few big club's in Scotland I'd laugh at in that predicament but they're not one of them.

Always found their supporters a decent bunch and hope they turn things around soon.

Not a fan of Dundee Utd though...

I'd be very surprised if Alan Stubbs wants to return to management so soon after his latest and recent dismissal.
He's lost a lot of credibility since managing our club and he might be thinking that another "mistake" could finish him for good as a manager.
I truly wish him well in whatever he does or where ever he ends up.

Can’t see him even being quoted for this.
It’ll be a 2 way challenge between Neilson and McIntyre if he leaves, with money spinning Robbie the favourite probably

They spoke to Stubbs last time. He didn’t want to take it further.

Doubt they will talk again. I think Jobbie Neilson is favourite.

I think anyone who thinks United would want to talk Stubbs after what happened at St Mirren is kidding themselves on. Club legend here but his reputation has taken a bit of a battering now.

Don’t really get all the hatred for United tbh, always enjoy my trips to tannadice and any fans I’ve spoken to have been sound.

I think Stubbs will struggle to get a job now. Especially one as big as the United job. If he did get it he'd need Doolan and Holden with him.

Celebrating a win against their biggest rivals for the title that season and signing players they think will make them better.....

Shocking, truly shocking 😉

In all seriousness though, I quite like Dundee Utd, grandad used to support them and got a vague memory of him taking me to a game when I was a kid, they beat Hearts I think, may have been Fashanu’s debut, or certainly one of his first games. Even ignoring that though they’re a decent club with a good fan base, nothing bigoted or anything, just a bunch of football fans like us. Our premier league would be a better place if they can get their act together IMO.

Got talking to a bunch of St Mirren fans in the pub last night. They all hated Stubbs with a passion and didn't have one nice word to say about the guy. I was very surprised at the anger they have towards him.

Did they say why? Very odd to hate the man given the time he was there.

Agree with the above.

I called it early in the season. The Buddies didn't take to Stubbs from the very start.

Punted Reilly and a couple of others and they were glad when he got the sack.

His career is in tatters.

Small club with delusions of grandeur. Sacking managers after 4 games in the league is ****ing ridiculous. They're idiot fans deserve another relegation.

Neilson would be a good fit for United. They have invested heavily in the squad that they have this year.

3 strikes and your out and he is currently sitting on 2.
