Agreed, thought he had a few minor wobbles at the start but grew into came and was class not just in his defending but also his distribution. Commentator mentioned that was something like his 51st consecutive start for Hibs - remarkable run of games. Lucky with injuries, but obviously looks after himself very well too.

Efe by a mile.

I still can't believe people want him dropped.

Thought efe played well considering Boyle wasn't giving much help at times. We looked badly exposed down his side but he dealt with mackay Stevens well mostly

I thought Lewis was excellent throughout.

Loads of contenders because we were very good for large parts - just forwards having a bad day at the office with their finishing. Did think Shaw was very poor but he has time on his side.

Efe MOTM
Porteous, Hanlon, Milligan, Mallan, Kamberi (except early miss) all excellent.
Better from Hyndman too.
Agyepong very lively when on
Loads of positives there actually

For me it was Milligan, it's the 1st I've seen him and he looked immense, plays the DM role superbly, a very good football brain and very athletic.

Efe was the best player on the pitch by an absolute mile. No idea how he never got MOTM.

Efe by a mile.

I still can't believe people want him dropped.

I did - but he since played 3 motm performances and not put a foot wrong in any of them.

He's back to his best again - which is a totally different level to what he was playing at the start of the season.

It wasn't unreasonable to be questioning him, but he's bucked his ideas up big time.

I'm delighted, because on his day he is one of the best players I've seen play for us. He routinely does stuff for us that we still salivate over Sauzee doing for us nearly 2 decades ago.

Good on him.

Efe Ambrose head and shoulders above a lot of other very good performers.

Thought Efe was superb tonight and had Mckay-Stevens in his back pocket. Both McKay- Stevens and May totally bottled near the end when they saw Efe in front of them and passed ball to nobody.

Mallan first half, Efe overall... it was a mascot that picked Motm, so he or she probably held Hanlon’s hand on the way out.

Mallan for me.

Thought he dominated the midfield.....fantastic game and has regained his fitness now. Efe was tremendous as well and Hyndman getting rid of the rustiness as well....he will be a player for us

A few contenders tonight, hard to argue with Ambrose, he was excellent, but I wouldn't complain about Mallan, Porteous, Hanlon, Milligan or Stevenson getting it either.

I thought Hyndman was up there tonight but Ambrose was class.

We are very lucky to have him.

The defence get a collective MoM from me. Excellent.

As for the attack, there's a few garage doors at the rear of our place. Do pop along and have a kickabout.

And could have cost us dearly with a ridiculous lunge late-on, when Aberdeen only ever looked like troubling us from set pieces. Not saying he didn't have a good game, but Efe definitely the highlight in defence tonight. Overall I thought our defence was really good actually.

Big Efe was different class last night, brilliant. Who got man of the match at the game? Was it Hyndman or were my ears playing tricks on me

Official MOTM was Hanlon.

For me too it was Efe. He appears like he has paused the game - as he has so much time at times.. He was class at Dens on Sat also - I doubt he broke sweat :cb

He has a quite brilliant burst of pace, which I didn't always realise.

I thought Milligan was excellent right up until I said so to my dad, then he was quite poor for the remaining 10-15 mins of normal time, so Ambrose gets my MotM award. I thought Kamberi (miss aside) was good too and looked as if he was back to his normal self. I hope his injury last night doesn't set him back.

Efe by a mile was MOM, ive no idea how it was given to Hanlon. Hanlon didnt do anything wrong, but Efe was head and shoulders above anyone last night.

Porteous was second with Mallan, Lewie, Milligan all a close 3rd

MoM for me was Kamberi, whose hold-up play was exceptional.
We almost fell out of the match completely, when he went off.
Ambrose was his usual excellent self.

Have to go with Efe, I thought he was majestic last night, glided through the game on cruise control.

I thought Flo played well other than the absense of his shooting boots and Milligan looks very composed. A pat on the back for Hyndman too, who raised a few eyebrows with his selection, I thought he showed some nice touches and always made himself available for the ball, which is not always the case when a player is lacking a little confidence. We should have got a positive result last night, once again we know how Aberdeen will approach the game but despite playing sme decent football and creating a lot of chances we just coudnt put the game to bed. Something to work on anyway and despite losing the tie Im sure NL will find alot of positives to take forward into our next games.

It was indeed.

PS - What was the Liverpool final score tonight? I missed the last 10 minutes to watch the Celtic game and Liverpool looked in control at 1-0 up. :dunno:

Not sure you'll have to ask Mr Scouse, I only caught the first 80 minutes.

I think he said touche...but it could have been "2-1", i'm not sure.
