I am sad to report the passing of my Father Gerry Nolan at the age of 90 years and 4 months. His first Hibs game was in 1935.

He had a connection with Hibs, coaching the Hibs nursery team Edinburgh Thistle together with Harry Reeding the Hibs Groundsman at the time in the early 1960s.

He has seen Hibs win all the trophies in Scottish football and got his picture taken with the Scottish Cup.

He will be sadly missed.

RIP Gerry.

He’d waited longer than most for that Scottish Cup - glad he got to see it with Hibee ribbons attached.

First game in 1935. Now that’s a true Hibby.

Can you imagine what he saw at Hibs through his years? What a supporter!!

May he rest in peace.

Sorry for your loss, hopefully your father is looking down and can watch the Hibees for ever.

Must admit the name drew my attention as I went to school with a Gerry Nolan, I'm not 90 though.
