There’s a few songs out there that start in a certain way but then switch to a completely different style half way through. I love them, but let’s list them.
ill start with wings band on the run and the killers all these things that I’ve done.

Personal favourite - "I Am The Resurrection" by the Stone Roses

I remember many moons ago being in the car with the girlfriend at the time. I had a look through her I-pod for anything half decent. In amongst the guff was pleasantly surprised she had I Am The Resurrection so put that on. Was horrified when it was some 3 minute I odd version and stopped before the second half.

I knew then and there she wouldn’t become Mrs The Modfather 😀haha

Railroad by Status Quo was one that worked really well when it probably shouldn't have.

It's not really a song of two parts but The Doors 'Light My Fire' is another one where there's the proper full-length version and a shorter version that just feels wrong!

Franz Ferdinand- Take me out...More of a 25/75 split though :greengrin

My favourite one has to be D-7 by Nirvana. Not the most famous song in the world but one thing it does do is change.

Not sure if Super Furry Animals' "Man don't give a ****" counts, but it's a good song so it should.

I’m sure I heard that Strawberry Fields Forvever was two songs merged into one and it happens and bang on a minute in?

One song. George Martin merged two different recorded versions of it together.

Does She’s a Rainbow count? The multiple piano solos are a big contrast to the rest of the song.

Hey Jude?

Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell album is full of it. Paradise by the Dashboard Light goes from rock to funk to rock with quite a few entirely different themes (and it's hilarious).

Fleetwood Mac Oh Well.

Stevie Wonder combines (segues :nerd:) what are actually two songs in Superwomen Where Were You When I Needed You to good effect.
