Not sure what buses go to Livingston from Edinburgh, but it’s only a 10 min walk to the ground from the bus station

First Bus go to the centre from a couple of locations. City Centre via St Johns Road or Gorgie/Dalry) - need to check the numbers as the timetable has just changed.

Lothian now run the X27 and x28 Services (Gorgie/Dalry) the grren and white busses too :greengrin.

Livingston North closer and better than Livingston South train station.

Lothian country bus X27/X28, from Princes Street, takes you right into the centre, then 5 min walk.

I would say train everytime, even though neither livy train station is near the toni macaroni astro turf mega dome.
A bus from centre Edinburgh to Livvy is 1hr to 1hr 1/2 each way..brutal, doesnt matter whether its the bus that uses the A71 or the A8 both slow as sh*t touring round every scheme in west lothian.... and for some reason the price of a edinburgh/lvingston return on the bus is dearer than the equivalent return on the train! lol

I am not a fan of buses :greengrin

Looks like £7.50 for a day Lothian West day ticket is best option on bus - all zones and city trams, probably going to endure the epic bus journey on the X27/28 for a change this Sat.

I find Google maps very helpful when planning public transport. Failing that, this is a great site for planning travel in Scotland: https://www.travelinescotland.com

If you leave Princes Street at 12:46, and take the First Bus Service 25, you will arrive at the Bus Station in Livingston at 14:05, it's a 10 minute walk from there to the ground.

The x23 is about 20mins quicker than that bus as the 25 goes via Broxburn. Good luck with your hibs scarf on through there :-)

As said before 23, X23 on First bus (£6.30 return and take contactless payment) 27 and 28 with Lothian Country (dont know prices but dont take card payment)

Trains run frequently to Livi North. Walk or short taxi journey from there.

You can buy a One ticket on the lothian bus app which lets you use any bus all day, travel zone 2 covers all operators in edinburgh and west lothian. I dont know if theres a minimum spend though as i buy a weekly ticket. Saves me a fortune and means I dont have to stick to one operator

It’s £7.60 return on the train, that’s from Brunstane station it will be less from Waverley. I was going to drive, but I think I’ll just take the train now.

Think its only 45mins from Queen Street station. Train to Livi North and then bus to stadium. Number 25 stops right outside train station and takes you there.

Saw on the Livingston Ticket thread that there is a car park more or less next to ground with a £5 charge. I’ll just be parking up at the designer outlet car park in shopping centre for 50p per hour and a short walk down to ground.

Please dont park in the hospital. Theres not enough spaces for visitors and staff as it is. Theres plenty parking at the centre for 50p an hour and is max ten min walk.

at the weekend it will be fine, i worked there for years so know what its like

I still work there and its not fine. Especially at that time of day. Its a much further walk than the centre anyway.

not going to start an argument but i know the exact data for weekend parking and the weekends are much quieter in all car parks on the site

Of course it is, theres no clinics and the HC is shut so theres decent parking for actual visitors and staff instead of people having to park on the verges and at the end of rows wheres theres no actual space.

People can make up their own minds.

folk can park where they like, and have done for years, rightly or wrongly

Why would you want to park at a hospital site when there is plenty parking much nearer the stadium. Makes no sense.

Funny that people ignore the posters fairly valid reason for parking at the hospital to have a dig at them. I'm sure if the car park was close to capacity at weekends then They would choose not to park there.

The “fairly valid reason” is because it’s free and “only a 10 min walk” whilst others have pointed out the parking at the hospital should be left for staff and visitors, regardless of how much quieter it is at the weekend.

There’s plenty of parking closer to the ground, for free or for as little as 50p an hour at the Centre, 2 mins from the ground

Nobody had a dig at the poster, only valid reasons for not parking there were given. As i said, people can make up their own minds

i was going to bow out of this but staff cant/ shouldnt park in the main car park anyway so makes no difference to staff if a few football fans park there, ive deleted my posts though as i cant be bothered with the argument!

You can park in Dunelm and Home Bargains car park and walk to the ground via Bubbles swimming pool in about 7 or 8 minutes and be at the away side of the ground.

From Livingston North train station it's around a 30 minute walk, from Livingston South its about 40 minutes. Best to get a bus or a taxi from either in my opinion.

Parking is free at many of the car parks just behind the shopping centre - though watch for Parking Eye time limits. Parking is 50p for 3 hours at Asda or 50p an hour at the centre.
Parking is free at the Bank of Scotland car park at the back of the centre at the Paraffin Lamp though it's usually really busy.

EZ

better parking in the multi-storey, £2 or sommit won't break the bank, 50p/hour, the shops close at six so i imagine the car park might be 7, but don't quote me on that, i don't want anyone going for a pint after the game and getting their car locked in :)

You’ll get access to “The Terrace” car park at weekends...normally controlled by barriers for WLC staff during the week. Barriers are up at the weekend.

From there it’s a hop, skip and jump over the bridge towards West Lothian Civic Centre, then across another bridge to the away end of the Tony Mac Arena.

Livi North train station a twenty minute walk to the ground, livi south a bit longer. Asda and the designer outlet car parks both pay for(lived in Livingston all my days and been driving for 4 years never paid to park in either). The terrace car park opposite the centre with the entrance being just up from dominos which is shut mon-fri is free parking on Saturdays. Realistically only place you’ll “have” to pay is the multi stories for each shopping centre. Now a lot more busses coming out here as Lothian have just started coming out here, all of which go through the bus station which you could walk backwards to the ground and still make in 10 minutes
