So who are we all going for in the final major of the year?

No coverage on TV - seemingly the UK viewing rights are owned by "Eleven Sports" and so this will only be available online. They are offering a free 1 week trial, but you have to put your credit card details in and then remember to cancel once the free period is up.

Sounds like a tricky course - long (7300 yards) but only 2 par fives.

I've been hopeless with my major predictions this year, but pretty good with the other weeks and managed to get a great price on Justin Thomas to win last week.

Justin Rose again for me, if his back trouble from last week has sorted itself out.

Possibly Jon Rahm as a second choice.

For whatever reason I don't fancy an American to win this week.

Was looking of sky sports golf but all I could see were 're runs of the open. Eleven sports really spending some money.

Anyone found a stream to this? Nothing works for me

I'm just hoping Fowler finally does it though I have sneaky feeling for Justin Rose.

Koepka looks like he's pulling away a bit.

Pretty impressive front 9.

Tiger is playing some lovely recovery shots, he didn’t hit a fairway on the front 9.

This is building up into a great finish. I'm actually quite enjoying Eleven Sports coverage of the tournament. Koepka is looking good but anything can still happen.

Fowler threw the towel in the first few holes. Hitting 260 yards off the tee to the fairway at easier just over 400 yard holes. Everyone else was hitting 320 plus leaving themselves easy pitches in. Pathetic.

I’ve got a bet on Adam Scott. It’s between him, Koepka and Tiger now.

Yip. It's a fantastic tournament but it's a pity that it's not available to a wider audience. It would have been brilliant for the game of golf.

Koepka must be the calmest golfer of all time, he never seems to feel the pressure.

I have to say that I’m loving what eleven sports are doing. The coverage for the golf was great and they’ve got loads of football on this season.
Scottish football could do a lot worse than going with these guys.

If Tigers injury issues are behind him for good then today was evidence that he will win a major again, and more than just one.

Koepka is an outstanding golfer and owner of the sports best biceps :greengrin

It must have been the effect of the white peppermint that his caddie gave him round about the 15th/16th hole!

:agree:

However it becomes expensive when sports coverage becomes fragmented between various broadcasters. Like you, I thought Elevensports did a great job and they managed to capture the on course atmosphere better than Sky.

Did they have pundits in studio set up or just unseen commentary?

They had two pundits in a studio. The studio looked like it was the back of a van. They mostly just showed the golf with very few add breaks.

Jamie Donaldson and someone else did a review every now and again from what looked like a broom cupboard. Thankfully the broadcasts did concentrate on the "on course golf" and I had no complaints whatsoever.
