So SJM has been sleeping on the Villa offer. Wonder what he’s been dreaming about? A new Porsche? A new house? Not letting the gang down as they prepare for Thursday? Wondering if a month loan back could be written into the contract? Damn difficult to get a proper sleep, eh John?

Saw on twitter preview of daily express front page tomorrow says Celtic have matched villas signing fee and apprent 23k a week wage for McGinn.
Hibs should tell them to f*** off, it’s sets a prescedent that they can try and mug us off again in the future. I wouldn’t give Celtic a whiff of my sh*t after their antics with the original bids.

But we won’t tho’. If Celtic really have matched the offer, it’s highly likely that McGinn will be allowed to talk to them this morning. The £23m AV per week is paper talk, as is the Herald’s claim that McGinn feels he will get more game time at AV. I think McGinn will end up with a straight choice and IMO he will choose Celtic, not my choice, I must say. As one Celtic punter put it:
Stuck in one of Bruce’s agricultural teams, failing to get out the Championship, he then gets sacked & you fall out of favour.
Or
Winning a treble treble, playing in the CL, improving no end under Brendan, leading to a move to Southampton, then Liverpool.
There are your options, take a minute to mull them over ha ha ha

Oh well Celtic won't match AV's offer so not to worry

Not bad for a squad benchwarmer who’s not really needed or, according to quite a few, not really good enough for them.
Ps. Kerrydale Street is full of rich comments and observations.
I liked this.: “We seem to have painted ourselves into a corner with this one.
It's like a Celtic Brexit.”
Some ITKers saying that the Celtic bid has been accepted. Have they not got a bed to go to? My God, look at the time, better get the light out. :greengrin
I wonder if their ITKers are better than our ITKers :hmmm:
I've lost all faith in ITKers after the Brandon Barker to Hibs rumours etc.

Or sign for Celtic, warm the bench (supposedly) for a season or two, then watch as Brendan who’s now in the huff leaves next summer.

Every chance a new manager will come in but happens everywhere now . Going to Villa now makes so much sense they will be in the prem next season

What baffles me is that this transfer for JM is so low risk that I can’t believe it’s only AV and Celtic that’s made concrete offers. Surely for a measly £4 million John is a bargain at that price, 2 good seasons wherever he goes and he’s more than doubled in value and the profit is limitless. I now want this saga over so we can find replacements and move forward as we all knew this was going to happen this window. Personally now I hope he goes to Celtic if they pay the money and we’ll take Scotty Allan I think it’s a good deal for all involved

he would be replacing Jack Grealish at Villa, who played in Bruce’s failing side and has got a megabucks move to Spurs...praying he goes to Villa.

Mental how so much seems to have happened in regard to this transfer during the middle of the night. Would think the papers are just making stuff up...

It’s a huge life decision and he’ll want to get it right.

Is it too late to start up a charity sponsorship scheme to keep McGinn? If we can get all ST holders involved, we're laughing.
"For only £1.50 a week, you can sponsor a Super John McGinn. Help clothe and feed him..."

When I search "John McGinn latest", it's only the Scottish papers that are saying anything about the Villa offer being matched by Celtic. I didn't find anything from the English media outlets - only the positive talks with Villa.
Personally, think the Celtic story is fake news.
