With Thompson retired - who will win hearts player of the year this season? He is odds on favourite at the start of every season to retain it.....

He certainly "let's the game flow".... By that I mean he doesn't like to dish out cards. Sometimes that's a good thing - other times it means our players get kicked up and down the park by the opposition with little punishment from the ref.
I suppose it'll depend on Motherwell's approach how the game pans out.
Though I would agree he's one of the better refs.

If there is anything guaranteed to ruin my season before it’s started, it’s thinking of our referees and how bloody awful they are!
