Hibernian can confirm ticketing arrangements for next week’s UEFA Europa League Second Qualifying Round tie with Asteras Tripolis.
The club have been in continued dialogue with our opponents to make arrangements as easy as possible for our travelling supporters whilst adhering to the ticketing procedures and regulations in Greece.
Ticket Price
25€ (approx. £22)
Supporters will enter through Gate 4, with gates opening 2 hours before the game. The club have been given an allocation of over 1600 tickets.
Ticket Purchase Locations
Tickets will be available in Tripoli on the day before the game and the day of the game from the following locations:
Wednesday 1 August
9am-2.30pm: “StarStore”, Ethnikis Antistasasews 52 str., Tripoli center
12pm-8pm: Stadium Ticket Booth, Tertseti Str, Asteras Tripoli Stadium
Thursday 2 August
9am-2pm, 6pm-8pm: “StarStore”, Ethnikis Antistasasews 52 str., Tripoli center
10am-9pm: Stadium Ticket Booth, Tertseti Str, Asteras Tripoli Stadium
WE STRONGLY URGE SUPPORTERS TO BUY IN ADVANCE – THE PURCHASING PROCESS CAN TAKE SOME TIME AND SUPPORTERS WILL MISS LARGE PARTS OF THE GAME IF THEY DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR TICKET IN ADVANCE OF ARRIVAL. IF POSSIBLE WE ADVISE TO PURCHASE THE DAY BEFORE THE MATCH, OR ON THE MORNING OF THE MATCH.
We appreciate this may not be suitable to some supporters travelling in for the game, but unfortunately this is the most practical way of managing the ticketing process. Supporters should make every effort to purchase well in advance of attending the match.
Supporters will require their passports when purchasing tickets.

What time are we expecting the bus to arrive in Tripolis?
Drop off near a ticket purchase point might be helpful.

If our bus could drop us off near the ticket place, that would be good? Wasnt planning to carry passports. That could be a nightmare.

St Pauli Hibee Coaches

All due to arrive at Stadium for around 3.30pm

This should give everyone plenty of time to get their tickets and head down to the main square (20min walk) to enjoy a few drinks and grab a bite to eat

KO -- 9.00pm in Greece

Also note that I have enquired about pushing the return bus journey back until 23.35, this is due to the possibility of Extra Time & Penalties. Originally this was set for 22.55

Regarding having to take a passport to the game, same thing happened at a Scotland game I was at, the SFA security guy McDougall told us at the time it was to make their lives easier if you got lifted, meaning the police would know who you are and could process you quicker and easier. Nothing to do with the actual ticketing purchase.

Some countries you can't buy a ticket without showing ID, I know in Italy and Poland its the case due to hooliganism, I think with the various incidents in Greece they'll be the same.

True, although I've always tried to avoid handing it over on request other than at borders and have found in most instances a photocopy would work. I remember a few years ago arriving in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and within about 20 minutes of leaving our hotel my mate and I had been stopped by two bent cops accusing us of being "terrorists" and wanting our passports. I handed over a photocopy and told the cop we could go to the British Embassy and get the principal copy. My pal wasn't as wide though and stupidly handed over his real passport - and came perilously close to having to pay a good few hundred $ to get it back.

Nope. No alcohol allowed.

Alcohol is no longer blanket banned for all Europa League and Champions Leagues games. UEFA now leave it up to local football associations and lawmakers to determine whether alcohol sales are permitted.

What that tweet doesn't confirm is whether the passport holder must present the photograph of the passport, or whether a third party may use a photocopy to buy a ticket on behalf of the passport holder. Tracey's second bullet point would suggest this is possible however.
