Our record when he is in the stand is excellent. Wish he had got another game ban for making a sub signal after the first goal tonight.

Lol

Is this a wind up?

Nope. He’s been fined £3k more than the Jambos for making a gesture.

Banned for gesturing for a sub, what a petty rule that is. Time-wasting and diving still can’t be dealt with properly but managers get bans and fines for signalling from the stands...

Hope we get through the tie, would be nice to see Lennon on the tough line again sometime soon :greengrin

He was. The EEN report has it wrong. He'd be banned for the first leg of the next round if we get through.

What’s the rule then? Is he not allowed to interfere at all during the game - ie. pass notes or make phonecalls either?

Seems like a punishment for the whole team rather than just the manager himself.

Rules made by over officious dullards in suits.

Why is this even a rule?

He got a 4 game ban, brondby away, both faroes games and last night. His ban was up.

****ing ridiculous. So whisper it to a colleague who goes on his mobile to the bench and no ban or fine. Absolute clowns run our game at all levels.

They should clarify their stupid rules:

No mobiles.
Hands tied behind back.
Duck tape over mouth.
Head restrainer to be worn for 90 minutes.
Sunglasses must be worn.
Incontinance pants to be worn to prevent illicit toilet visits.

Who pays Lennons fines? Lennon or the club?

Couldn't TF step in, as he did to pay the poppy thieves' poppy bill?

Wegner and others have been caught out with this so it should have been abundantly clear what the rules are.

It's a player's wage for two weeks out of the club coffers. Lennon just needs to abide by the rules and he will not have an issue. His disciplinary record is appalling and it is not really a good trait to have as a manager when trying to get players to tow the line. Read and head the rules and don't moan every time your error costs the club. By all means challenge the rules but play by them as they exist.

Is there no post-match interview with Lennon? Can't find anything on the Youtubes or the Twitters.

BBC last night said they recorded one but had 'misplaced' it. Said it would go up on the website but I haven't had a look yet.
