A sash away kit and an orange third! :fishin:

It's shocking, depressing and entirely unsurprising that they'd do this.

If the club itself brings out the dog whistle at every opportunity then no one should be shocked that the problem continues.

The orc hoards will buy the orange strip in their thousands. Will be displayed en masse at Parkheid and Easter Road particularly. Very sad.

They had an orange away top years ago and only really wore it at Parkhead and Easter Rd! Sure it was when they were sponsored by NTL

Shocking and depressing ? Why beat yourself up about another club's kit ? Jeezo.

It’s officially called mandarin, but I don’t think people should get their knickers in a twist over the colour of a football strip. Of course it is a sectarian statement and much of their enjoyment of it is the seethe and publicity it provokes. Rise above it and let the morons get on with it.

If they were going full sash it would need to be more in a Airdrionians style v shape. The Rangers one is more Girl Guide than Orange Order.

After liquidation and the club passed into new hands there was a choice about which way to go. They could have retired some of their 'traditions' and tried to build a modern and inclusive club. Sadly, and predictably, they chose to go the other way. First Green and now King are playing to the lowest common denominator in the fan base. It's a form of control to stop a real challenge to the way the club is being run; chuck a bigot an orange away kit and he won't ask too many questions.

I am RC and my wife is Protestant. I was at the tin pot cup game that the Hun won 2-6 a few years back at ER and my youngest son who would have been about 18 at the time innocently asked me why some of The Rangers fans were wearing orange I looked at my mate and we both just shook our heids. It just shows how attitudes have changed in a generation and as it is now 2018 and not 1690 it is time that The Rangers joined the rest of us in the 21st century.

Hummel aren't daft. They know a sash top and an orange top will fly off the shelves. A total no brainer for them sadly.

Why still the five stars on their badge? I thought they let their club die?The 5 star thing is great when you are required to explain the hun problem / mentality to football fans down here. One chelski fan I know was incredulous when the stars were explained, it's also a good door opener to a bit of explanation about the other poison associated with Sevco and their forerunner the now defunct Glasgow rangers.

I’m sure I know the answer but why are they allowed to get away with this?

Whatever reason they hide behind (salute to Dutch players, brilliant sales of the last orange shirt etc) their motives for the new orange away shirt are simply to tap into the sectarian bigotry held in the majority of their support

Hummel are the Primark of the sports kit world. Cheap made and always honking looking. Oh dear. The training kit is even worse!!
Dave King certainly made sure of the orange order going in to please their bigoted masses. D1ck head.

Wonder how Hummel would react if social-media carried the message that they're actively promoting sectarianism in order to fill their pockets ??.

These ones make vomit rise in my throat.

But, I agree, from a business sense they will sell a bucket load.

I don't know about Mandarin but its certainly panderin...

Calculated move by TRFC and their PR department. They know that all it takes to keep the hun hordes on side is an orange "tap" and free reign to sing the Billy Boys. As long as they appeal to the lowest common denominator element of the support (ie the vast majority) the hordes wont be asking any questions about the Board or sevco finances. Classic smoke and mirrors.

Let’s not forget the “fenian blood” red for the top of the home socks.

The home socks are the one redeeming feature of their kits.
The red and black are the historic colours of Govan and a nod to the community that lives around the stadium.
Govan always has been slightly detached from Glasgow very much like Leith.
Nowadays it's an incredibly diverse community and Govanites whether Prod, Catholic, Asian or more and more nowadays African, each and everyone is immensely proud of Govan and the black and red flags can be seen flying from a fair few tenement windows when you take a drive through the area.

Does my head in that 😂 when did they start saying 'staunch' as if it was a name they made up? Photo of Gerrard with a Rangers scarf - staunch. Tavernier modelling the new kit - staunch. Prince Harry getting married - staunch. Very strange fans.

That's exactly what's going on, of course: a nod and wink. They could have chosen any colour for the kit, but, just 'coincidently' chose orange. From a business perspective it makes sense, as it will likely become the best selling Rangers shirt ever. The lunatic section (and it's sizeable) will lap it up. No doubt there will be more orange on display than blue at Ibrox next season, which a sad reflection of their mentality.
