View Full Version : Hibs vs NSI Runavik the Dot Count / Ticket Sales

Bob Box Fish

As of lunchtime today we have sold 6610 tickets for our first competitive game of the season. Split as follows:

East- 2994
West- 2504
Famous Five- 1112

This does not include hospitality. The actual figure may be slightly lower than this as it looks like some rows in the West on the lower deck front are not for sale.

If I remember correctly the last few European games at Easter Road were slow sellers but picked up nearer kick off.

I still think we will get 12,000.

Do we know if Hibs have done any research on Runavik or is it a case of hope they are crap coz they’re from somewhere out at sea?

I seriously hope we can put the tie to bed at ER.

I think being at home first will help the crowd. Winning the first leg 3-0 over there would hurt the attendance, as would losing 3-0.

Ditto for the next round.

Probably buy a ticket on Sunday, but if not pay at the gate wont be a problem for this one …. given the time of year and the less than glamorous opposition anything north of 10,000 will be more than acceptable. We aren't going to pack out for every game, no matter how well things are going, but if we get through this one I can see a more than decent crowd for the Greek teams visit.

Everyone was desperate for Celtic to win the cup and give us the European place so hopefully they will back the team....

That used to be fairly normal 50 or 60 years ago. Many fans would go to see whichever Edinburgh team was at home & some of the more well-heeled would have a season for both. Hibs & Hearts players were great friends in those days, Tam Preston & Dave Mackay were inseparable.

Yes you are, just like you do when Tynie etc goes on sale.
There is provision to accommodate over 1600 away fans. Spurs got enough tickets when they played there and you have to assume there would have been a much bigger demand from home fans for that game.

Actually there's not separate sections, just 2.5 blocks with no barriers between them.

http://www.liberoguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Ast3.jpg

There is also only one entrance/exit to the South stand so segregation isn't possible there either.

I'm getting the same issue, I have two student and one adult ticket. I can have them special delivery, first class or add access to card despite not having a card to add them to. Will they even arrive on time if i select first class?

I was wondering the same! I've bought three tickets and put them on our cards but we are sitting in a different stand for a wee change - got a horrible feeling we will turn up to the turnstile and the cards won't work!

The 5 in our usual group are just going to buy at the pods on the night … if we have sold over 9,000 already I can see a pretty good walk up turnout pushing the crowd to at least 12,000 which is more than acceptable for a 1st round tie against a team next to nobody has heard of.

Positive sales again today.

Total now at 10292. Increase of 751 in 24 hours.

Sales by stand:

East=4566
West=3780
North=1946

Quite a few sections now with just a few tickets left. I predict decent sales in the next two days to hit at least 12k.

Couldn't really have given a toss about this fixture until a day ago, where it was alongside the Paul Hanlon testimonial in my consciousness. But in the last twenty four hours it seems to evaluated itself in my mind from a preseason kick about to a proper European tie. I'll be podding along.

Because it's a competitive match, I left Hanlon's game to last minute as I was unsure if I was going, I was always going to this game, just didn't think my seat would be snapped up in the general sale that quickly, I'm only a row in front though.

Then the damage is minimal, if folks seats have been sold already then I'm guessing they'll get another one fairly close to where they usually sit.

I’ve got absolutely no idea but it looked well short of 14k. Still looked a half decent crowd but when you consider there’s 17k in the 3 home stands then there shouldn’t have been the gaps that there was for there to be 14k there. The 12k that seemed to be quoted on the radio seemed more like it, maybe the announcer has got it wrong?
