Wouldn’t say he lacked confidence, he was coming back from injury at a time where we had Hanlon, Ambrose and McGregor all playing well as well as porteous breaking through. Was just bad timing. He wanted to play so we granted him a move to county. He is and forever will be a legend

Confidence is not something Fonts lacked, he was just unfortunate to be up against some incredibly talented defenders for a place. He'd have walked in to most Hibs defences over the last ten to fifteen years.

I'd say the difference is Fonts is actually celebrating the 32 win, Skacel was only ever wanting to noise us up.

A really good defender who served us well on and off the pitch. Ironically his confidence and wit shines through here.

I remember watching Fontaine away at Alloa in what was, I think, his 2nd game for us and he was awful. We lost 2-1 and he was like Bambi on ice on that pitch and looked like he was all set to be a total dud.

He turned out not bad! Scottish Cup winning legend who took the club to his heart and rarely let us down. He was just unlucky that other players took advantage when he was injured and he never really got an opportunity to get back in the side.

Agree entirely. As for the tweet, I wasn't able to open the link in OP but if it's the same thing I saw the other night, I'm sure it could have just been seeing as reminiscing out late winner from a corner as opposed to 'winding up the huns'.
