Signs for Dunfermline last week, asks for contract to be terminated to play abroad. I’d be pretty pissed off of a Hibs player done this.

Not that different to what happened with us and Scott Bain really. If he has received a good offer he is right to take it at this stage of his career........

Don't think Willo Flood is the kind of player who cares much for fan opinion. He left Dundee Utd for Aberdeen.

But we got a player from it. Scott Allan is better than Bain as well Dunfermline are now without a player. Just find it odd, he clearly had his heart set on a move abroad So why sign for the pars in the first place. Dunfermline fans will be delighted no doubt.

Should have told him to get his new club to pay up or to pay up himself. Even if it was just 20k or so.

According to this article it seems that a release clause was written into his contract allowing for a move abroad - if true then there is nothing for the club to complain about as they agreed to it.

Doesn’t seem to have done anything wrong, although Dunfermline will be disappointed
They’ve got 1st option on him if/when he comes back

To be fair being a professional footballer seeing out your twilight years in Bali sounds absolutely perfect. You can buy proper luxury mansions over there for £400k, which, for a professional footballer is **** all.

You can't buy any property on Bali unless you're Indonesian. You get up to 20 year leases. It's a great place, and much nicer than Dunfermline!

Its totally different from the Scott Bain situation. I’m not sure how you can compare the two at all.

400k is definitely not "**** all" for most players in Scotland

Why? He joined us then got an alternative offer from a club which could offer something more (European football in Celtic's case, more money in the case of Flood). We can agree to differ but they have some similarities and I can't say that I would have done any differently than they did under their circumstances.....

I don’t think Bain asked for or tried to force the move. Hibs negotiated with Celtic and Dundee and we got Scott Allan out of it. No comparison at all. Do you think Bain forced the issue with Hibs? I haven’t seen anything that suggests that. That’s where the Flood comparison fails. In my opinion obviously.

Something in my heid wishes him to fail miserably in Bali, wherever it is. he was a cheating wee tit at D.Utd, and followed it up wherever he went (Aberdeen?) canny even mind if he was at D.Utd first but did not like the wee rodent

I have been to Bali once if not twice a year for the last 15 yrs and I never knew they had a football team, next trip is in August so I'll look out for the scrott.
The people are really friendly but there is little "exotic" about the place, I'm sure Mr Flood will not last long as it tends to be hot and sticky ( which is fine when your arse is parked on the beach with a Bintang)

Flood is a horrible little rat of a player, and I wish him nothing but failure in his new venture. And any further footballing ventures.

A cowardly little man with no integrity or respect for his fellow professional.

He’s done it again, has his Bali contract terminated. Can’t sign for any club in Scotland bar Dunfermline as they have first option on him. Just when the pars fans thought they had seen the back of him. 👀

Should start a new game called 'Where's Willow?'. Dunfermline should tell him to ram it. Karma.

Unfortunate for him. You'd have thought Bali would have read the rules before signing him. Not allowed to play because his previous club (Dunfermline) did not play in the top league.

Yep, they only allow foreigners from top leagues to get work permits. Scottish championship with Dundee Utd and Dunfermline doesn't cut it.

CMurdoch

The Indonesian Football Association's newly introduced rules state that only four foreign players can play in their league - and they must have played in their previous country's top league to gain a work permit.

Because Flood was playing for Dundee Utd in the Championship, the league was not deemed strong enough to give Flood the required permit.

You’d have thought his agent would have looked into all this, before setting him up, and making him now look like a plum

Saw the following two funnies from Pars supporters when he left Dunfermline:

1. Willo Flood looks like he’d get sunburnt opening his fridge. What’s he doing going to Bali?

2. Got a Willo Flood tattoo yesterdayhttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/72x72/1f621.pnghttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/72x72/1f621.pnghttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/72x72/1f621.png

Poor chap.

Looks like he has been badly advised.

If contract was terminated at Dunfermline does that make him a free agent or do Dunfermline hold his registration?

Interesting to see how it pans out.
