Former tennis champion Boris Becker is claiming diplomatic immunity against an attempt to sue him.
The three-time Wimbledon winner claims his appointment as a diplomat by the Central African Republic affords him protection from any legal claims.
Mr Becker was declared bankrupt in 2017 (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40358006) over money owed to private bank Arbuthnot Latham. He is now being pursued for "further assets".

I would agree that on the face of it, it looks like Boris is using international law unscruptiously to avoid arrest however, when I see the words 'private bank' I kinda get a feeling there might be more to it than first meets the eye.
