I might be wrong on this but I believe Muslims who live in the extreme north or south of the world, and who will therefore have periods during the summer of almost entire sunlight, have the option of fasting during the hours of daylight in Mecca so maybe they could be observing that.

That’s kind of right, there’s all different interpretations, that’s one of them. Zidane had a medical condition that meant he didn’t have to fast, lucky man.

Yeah it was a penalty but Ronaldo certainly made the most of the little contact presented to him. But rules are rules I guess
