Been many times, a long way to go. Birmingham outskirts is nearer my house than Wick!

Sounds like a good excuse for a nice summers trip on the booze!

Its a Sunday, 3 days after our first europa league match. Willing to bet there will be next to no first team players playing in that match.

Takes about 8.5hrs on the train, not exactly cheap either and I don't think you can do it without an overnight stay.

You can't do it by train, well you can but its a two day trip. You'd need to travel up on the Saturday leaving Edinburgh at 14:36 at the latest, not arriving in Wick until 22:56 then come back on the Monday leaving Wick at 06:18 and arriving in Edinburgh at 14:25.

You cant even stay in Inverness on the Saturday as theres only one train up on a Sunday to wick and it leaves Inverness at 17:54.

You can fly via Aberdeen. Last flight is on the Friday, back on the Monday😄

Add to that, accommodation in Inverness would be like hens' teeth in mid-July.

I drove up to Wick from Inverness a few weeks ago and it was pushing on for two and a half hours. Edinburgh to Inverness was three and a half. Both those timings were excluding stops

You need 2 overnight stays minimum to do it by train, I considered driving but screw that.

If you go by train you can't stay in Inverness, you cant get up there on Sunday by train in time for the match.

See the baldy fellae but I highly doubt it. It will be the under 20s and the fact that the game is a Sunday means the you'll need a day off work on the Monday. The first team might still be travelling back from far flung back water european country too! :greengrin
