Has anyone heard anything on Sir David’s injury? I was sure in Jan it was reported he would only be out three months?

I am hopeful that he is still in contract until 2019.

Has been on the bench a few times over the last month I think so I assume he'll be fine for pre season etc. Maybe Lennon was hesitant to use him if his fitness wasn't fully there yet considering how important our games were the last month or so

Probably decided it was worth the extra rest, make sure he doesn't break down again and start back up in Preseason

We could do with him playing tomorrow.

Was he? I only remember him being on bench at Aberdeen. Fingers crossed he is close to a comeback and is still in next seasons plans!

Agree. Even a 20 min boost with 20 mins to go when we are trying to hold onto our 7-1 lead ;)

We might see him replace Boyle as RWB

Should he get on tomorrow? When was the last time we faced The Rangers last game of the season?

2004/05 we lost 1-0 and they won the league.

We've played them in the last game twice since then but in the play-offs and on 21/05/16.

Who put the ball in The Rangers net?

Apologies I assumed the question was asking when we last ended a league season with a match against them.

Lennon said in a recent press conference that he was back fit, but hadn't managed any minutes in a game. Seems a bit old school n very much encouraging the old match fit..

Barker being the recent and exception I can remember. Prob cos he's but a boy and was probably burning past, gray, Whittaker, Ambrose etc anyway...

2005 was the old Rangers anyway.

Yep thats all i’m saying. Reckon it would be a nice touch to let Sir David on at some point. We might get a late corner.

I’d love to see him come on for the last 10 with us winning.
For obvious reasons - We love him. They hate him.

Solid player, but his scoring of the most important goal in our clubs history makes him my favourite ever hibs player.

In fact he’s one of my favourite human beings and he can marry my daughter.

What am I wrong about?

They won the league at ER circa 2010 I think, the year the old east was demolished.

Think that was the last game of the season as I remember leaving with the feeling that only the last day of the season could bring - a hollow emptiness knowing that football is months, not days away.

They did win the league at ER in 09/10 with a 1-0 win from Kyle Lafferty but it wasn't the last game of the season.

He’s a legend but a season out at this stage in his career doesn’t bode well. I doubt we’ll see much more of him in a Hibs shirt and I would imagine NL will be actively looking for a replacement.
