Fantastic effort by the fans. I can’t think of any time we have taken so many before.

"The club won’t be receiving any further allocation."

This beggars belief! Leeann, make a statement!

Sections P, Q & R at Pittodrie = 2200 seats, according to Sheep on Twitterama.

2500 according to the football ground guide.

Away fans are housed on the one side of the South Stand. Up to 4,500 supporters can be accommodated in this part of the ground (although the normal allocation is around 2,500).

I've heard 2500 quoted. We apparently sold out all three of the away sections, and with about 930 seats in a neighbouring section to the away end, that seems plausible

We've got the usual sections Q and R plus P, The uncovered section P is only given to clubs with hight demand like Celtic and The rangers however on this occasion our demand is that high we've also been given section P, thats right in the corner and I'm sure some off the seats are off the end of the pitch as well.

The club is on fire at the moment. 21/5/16 really was an awakening of a sleeping giant

Folk go on about how bad the away end is at Celtic, but for me, Pittodrie is way out on its own as worst away section in the league. Plastic individual seats bolted onto a crumbling, ancient terracing with most seats restricted view. It will be all standing though no doubt, and I feel sorry for one fan I know who will no doubt be there, but for comfort requires a seat. He was near me last time up there and along with Big Frank they sat in the uncovered section, and couldn’t have seen much at all. Will be worse for them this time with everyone standing.
The kiosks struggled to cope with numbers last time, so eat well before hitting the ground I’d say.

That said, should be a special atmosphere with a full away end.

Certainly in my lifetime - started going to games in 1994.

The support from the fans is fantastic, totally unprecedented.

I agree with this. Terrible ground to visit. Let's hope the result makes us forget the cramped dilapidated stadium with terrible viewing.

Maybe the cup replay we won on penalties back in the mid nineties?

Not sure about a restricted view but nearly half the seats are uncovered, despite that being against the SPL stadium rules (dunno if the SPFL kept that rule or not).

So be sure to take a brolly/waterproof-jacket

It's no longer 2500. Capacity was cut a few years ago when they took out a few rows and added a section for wheelchairs.

Aberdeen list all the away numbers on the AFC heritage site. The numbers from the Old Firm and Dundee United (who sometimes sell out too) is usually just over 2,000, though on occasion it's been over 2100. Never much more than that.

I bought one as well and wore it that day. There were quite a few similar t shirts on show that day with various slogans
