Team under performed all season. Life is brutal in the Championship if you miss the play offs.

Football manager gets the sack. Pretty much par for the course.

They had probably targeted the play-off places. Failure to make them has cost him.

Raith sacked Grant Murray in similar circumstances. Look at them now.

They done well last year but would've expected quite rightly to finish above Livi and Dunfermline this year.

Morton seem to be one of these teams that has a good season followed by a bad one and vice versa. Always found them to be a well-organised team that could be tough to break down.

They sacked Murray, got McKinnon and made the play offs?

They sacked Murray, got McKinnon and made the play offs? With a lot of short term fixes/loan signings after a terrible start under McKinnon. Fell to bits when he left and so have United.

Raith should've kept Murray and continued to slowly improve

Unless they chuck money at it Morton will not improve without Duffy.
50 points was a fair return based on available resources.

Dodds on Sportsound mentioned the Easdales are rumoured to be about to invest no the chairman has gone and his son now in charge.

Did the Easdales get their money back from the Rainchurs? If I remember correctly they were in for quite a few million.

Super Ally back as a football manager?
