Even All is Barry is struggling to put a positive spin on that one.

We should just say goodbye to our chances in the league next year, with the squad they are building. How is it they are able to attract this level of talent and we can't? Sack the board

Genuinely had a Jambo tell me today that the Scotsman and EEN are bias towards Hibs

Yet the All is Barry mouth piece is alive and well

One day the balloons must surely realise that somewhere over the rainbow actually means somewhere over the rainbow. Even both their doctors can't indefinitely defer/realign the arrival at the promised land, or can they? ☺

3 goals in 33 appearances in the Championship. Sounds Hearts quality. I'm safe in the knowledge that if he was any good or better than what we have, Lennon would have sounded him out by now.

They are signing players who wouldn’t even get on our bench. Lovely stuff.

Big team making a big signing.

Along with 35 year old McLean and some guy from league 2 Hearts are really setting a marker down for next season to remain Celtic's main rivals and genuine title challengers.

I'm having difficulty in understanding how its a 'swap' deal if both players are out of contract with their respective clubs at the end of this season.

They can go anywhere they want then unfettered by any club wishes and of their own volition surely?

Think it's in lieu of development fees, both are under 23.

Do development fees not only kick in if both players had been offered contracts, on the same or better terms, by their current clubs?

Yes. The clubs have agreed not to offer contracts thereby waiving a possible fee.

It's a swap deal of sorts.

I said this earlier in the thread... with Salmon returning from loan and the signings of n unknown from league 2, a benchwarmer at ICT and a 35 year old from Pert Saints they have clearly set out their stall for the season ahead!

If rumour has it correct they will try and offload Laugherty and maybe Souttar to help fund the shortfalls.

I would suspect a fair few loanees to head Tiny way!

Just my thoughts though but they are getting their business done early so only time will tell if there will be any other marquee signings that way??

As expected, looks the keeper will be leaving - they'll do well to get someone even half as good as he's been:

Superb news, he's been excellent for them this season. Great to see Levein admitting they can't compete financially with clubs down south on his wages.

Apparently the wages aren’t the biggest issue.

It’s more the fact that the Hertz manager is a grade A prick.

Forget Berra. McLaughlin is the sole reason they crept into the top 6

Most common defence by the happy clappers on kickback is that Mulraney could be their Martin Boyle in that nobody expected much from him. Difference is that Boyle had scored 40 goals and was two years younger than Mulraney when we signed him. Mulraney has 3 goals.

Depends if Levein gets poached by Arsenal.

Must be a real worry for them.

Does this mean the naismith is done and hearts? You've got to think so. Wonder if lafferty will disappear as well.

Really hope not, I want them to sign Naismith long term and drain some more of their funds.

With the money they are saving on non stellar signings it will be some stand when it's eventually finished with all the extra cash they'll be able to throw at it.

That is, as well as the £15 Mill they have already sunk into it.

Beggars belief.

PS.That's a phrase I'm going to use regularly now, inspired by Jumbo Traynor. Thanks, Jim.

Banderson (Son of Bander{Sanskrit definition = a male monkey}) is always aping Traynor for top spin doctor in the sports news.
