Ryan Porteous has all the qualities to become a very very good centre half.

A certain Hampden-famous Henderson posted a clip of him watching the young team on insta.
Good to see he’s keeping up with the Hibees, and even the youth.
Saw an Instagram story that John McGinn was in the stands supporting them too, not sure if it’s been mentioned.
Great to see current and former first team players supporting the youngsters

Stevenson, McGeouch, Whittaker, Barker all there too.

I can see him captaining Hibs, and grabbing a Scottish Cup winner again funnily enough...

By far the better team. Ran out comfortable in the end. How many of that group can play 20s again next season?

Its back to reserve football from next season I think rather than the development league

I'm hearing a rumour that every single trophy on the Hampden pitch has been assaulted.
Is this correct?
Well done to the young lads.
It's funny actually - the flight I've just stepped off was from Edinburgh to Cardiff Airport. The last time I was at Cardiff Airport it was 7am on 21st May 2016 and I was coming back for THE cup final. Must be something about me being here and Hibs winning cup finals at Hampden on the same day. I've only ever been here twice.

Wonder if any papers will headline their articles tomorrow with - 'Hibs U-20's win cup but then break it - beggars belief' ??
Btw - Ryan Porteous - what a Rolls-Royce of a player !. Big, solid, powerful and uses the ball intelligently - with his chest sticking out there's a touch of the 'Roy Of The Rovers' about him !

Yes! Great win and the DOUBLE !
Fantastic achievement by the young team.
Fraser Murray and Ryan Porteous are destined for bigger things..
Porteous is Paul Hanlon part 2
Shaw will score goals
Murray will pull the strings in midfield.
Great time to be a Hibs fan and considering not much talk about our young players - well done to all of them and the coaching staff

It's ****ing magic being a Hibs fans these days.
'10 busloads' of Aberdeen fans going home with their faces tripping them makes this win all the sweeter.
I will be surprised if there were 10 car loads there.

But needs to better assess how slidy the turf is before doing a knee-slide goal celebration! #red faced

Donaldson looking a wee bit lost
Thought he was different class in the 2nd half.

I agree Billy, especially when Aberdeen turned into the Yams at the start of the 2nd half. 6 fouls in 1st 5 minutes, at least 12 unanswered in 1st 15 & our first foul produced a (deserved) booking. I thought the boys did well to keep their nerve & their composure.

I just hope Hibs don’t have to pay for a replacement cup, we’re not made of money! :greengrin

Hope there are plans to parade the players and the trophies at HT in the last game of the season. Give them the reception they deserve in front of a full house

Just browsed the Aberdeen forum to say what they are saying about the game they all thought that Porteous was incredible, looked a real star, a young Alex McLeish and stood out a mile. We've got to get him more games next season in the first team to continue his development.

Personally think young Ryan will start ahead of Daz next season.
