I was at Spotlands last night for Rochdale v Oldham - and saw Done and Doyle in action.

Just over 6,000 in a small, tightly packed stadium. It was a local derby/relegation 6-pointer - which was end to end with a real edge to it.

An attempted attack on the ref. Finished 0-0 (somehow!) and a goal might have caused bedlam anyway.

Done was LB for Rochdale and played well. Some good balls in and tirelessly up and down the park.

Doyle was lone striker and too often asked to deal with high balls. However, he played well and has a great touch.

Would definitely have Doyle back...

Liked Doyle at Hibs, seems to have had a decent career down south since leaving.

Watch Channel 5 EFL show and Done's name is often mentioned and he appears to have found a level that he can perform at. Doyle was a favourite of mine and he was unlucky to be playing alongside Sparky at Hibs as he was always going to be outshone.

I hope this doesn’t turn into one of those annoying pun threads. My patience is wafer thin.

Ice cream every time I hear anyone mention Matt Cone's name. Very frustrating player.

I've got over it - he's been a wafer a while now.

Cone with a flake was a "66" (IIRC)
Wafer with a flake was a "99"

Don't mix them up or you'll Luca right idiot.

Will always remember that brilliant Sundae in Kilmarnock when Matt Cone scored one of our 4 in the cup

I heard the last time Doyle scored he pulled his shorts down and flashed his Knickerbocker Glory at the fans.

Has anyone seen Matt's amazing trick with a raspberry? Ripple of applause always follows.

Doyle was a clever player, really liked him - was developing really well when he left too. Don't think we'd have been in anywhere near as much trouble had he stayed for the 2013-14 season, but we will never know for sure.

Griffith's chest pass for Doyle to run on and score v Falkirk at Hampden is one of the best bits of skill I have seen in the recent past.

Must admit. Thought about it but don’t have the ‘lolly’ to pay any fine after topping up my ‘oyster’ card.

I always thought Doyle could have played at a higher level - he just needed someone to take Calippo faith and make a move for him.

I'm surprised Alan Tubs didn't try to bring him in.

We’d have been better with a cone.

Won’t bother adding to the hundreds and thousands of crap jokes.
