Really looking forward to this, should be a cracker
Winners play Aberdeen at Hampden in a couple of weeks, I’m sure we’d all like a trip to Hampden😄

We’ve played each other twice in the last couple of weeks, not much between the teams, but I think we can shade this

Age rules out Scott Martin and Lewis Allan, as you need to be born from 1st Jan 1998 to qualify, but we’ve got a few to come in, who didn’t play on Monday. Sean Mackie is suspended, as he harshly got a 2 game ban for his sending off v Celtic last week

Both teams like to get the ball down and play football, so it should be a good match to watch
Hibs have a few Scottish youth internationalists in their squad in Porteous, Murray, Shaw and O’Conner
Celtic have quite a few as well in Aitchison, Deas, Duffy, Church and Hendo’s wee brother Ewan

The lads deserve a great crowd for their efforts this season, also 2 games away from winning the League as well. I’m sure we can get a few thousand in, proceeds go to Hibs youth I believe

If you can afford the time to get down, please do this, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it

Is it confirmed Sean is suspended? Can’t see it anywhere on the SFA website from the period in question.

West Stand Lower was the only section open, with a few Celtic fans at South end. I’d say about 1500ish crowd.
I’d say Hibs were marginally the better team overall, certainly made more clear cut chances across the 120 mins. Thought Callum Donaldson was MotM at Left Back, but many good performances inc Porteous, Fraser Murray, Ben Stirling

Then Scottish Cup final is Thursday 26th April at Hampden against the Aberdeen again.

It would be better played at the weekend for fans but given developement loans mean some of the U20 team members could be out on loan it would detriment the game. It is the National youth cup final and should definitely be played at Hampden though.

Another Hampden trip for the Hibees 😀🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

Impressive. More than a few Championship teams get

Aberdeen will bring about 15 people. We might get a few hundred over. Playing in an empty stadium wont be fun.

It was an enjoyable game, but even at this level the refereeing was abysmal - some baffling decisions that the support let the officials know about. I liked the look of Waugh I must say, and on the whole we looked a better, and physically stronger side than Celtic (apart from the Celtic player built like a rugby prop forward)
Will try and get along to the final if I can.

Wait a minute........

We're playing Aberdeen in the final?

What happened to the world's best academy and all these teenage superstars being churned out year on year? Cochrane et al.

Somebody been telling porkies?

Ryan Porteous looked like an overage, experienced old head out on the pitch. The guy is a probably a bigger asset than John McGinn.

We took around 2000 to Hampden when we beat The Rangers in the Youth Cup. It’ll be similar again.

I agree at one point he was so bad I thought he must be Dallas's love child 😱

He hadn't a clue about the advantage rule, equally for both teams.

I am sure we took a couple of thousand through when we played der hun in the final a few years ago, yeah aberdeen won't bring many but I think it is important to get these laddies used to lifting cups at Hamden, they'll be doing it with the big team soon enough  On a personal level I really enjoyed the match against Queens Park a few years ago in the cup, we were all rattling about Hamden that day and there was only just over 2000 there iirc.

Impressive. More than a few Championship teams get

It's more than Hamilton get for some home matches.

For example 1,272 v Ross County and 1,451 v St Johnstone.

Add in 1,776 v Dundee and 2,077 against the mighty Hearts!

Would have been better to have switched the final to St Johnstones stadium, then a few more folk could have made the game.

Aye but not as big a deal for the laddies - most of whom we’ll never hear of again after the final.

Well done to the boys ..well deserved win indeed some nice football played.
It might have been a bit easier if the ref had.done his job and shown a second yellow their left back about 2 minutes after he got booked and also a straight red the straight legged off the ground challenge.of their number 10 ....its pretty disappointing that it looks like this youngiah referee was at the same antics of not making the right decisions and perhaps more.telling that it was one.of the old firm that were the beneficiaries of his performance. Suppose the boys got a feel of what to expect from referees being inept and influenced by old firm.teams. ...positive is that with the penalty shoot out he could have no influence on the outcome...looking.forward.to the final now.

My last post looks harsh but based on previous we’ll be doing well to get more than 2 or 3 into the first team. Let them enjoy a big game at Hampden.

Will tickets for the final be available to buy through the club or online through SFA? What’s the chances of a bus running?

I’m sure they are working on the ticket situation, the game was only last night
As for buses, keep an eye on here

I was asking the question based on previous finals though. I haven’t been to one before but definitely up for going this year.

i'l be surprised if it's not cash gates for final, even though it was several years ago it was cash in the final v sevco with hibs and sevco gates, aberdeen fans can just sit in the aberdeen dugout along with their players
