Go for 2nd. It is there we have a chance this late on in season and we are 4 pts away with game in hand.

Go for it.....

BTW 4th or 3rd are also simply excellent achievements and are totally excellent seasons.

Are we not 4 pts behind Aberdeen on same nr of games?

Yes but an overdue win at Pittordrie will wipe out most of that. Beat Hamilton and Hibs will be only one behind Sevco.

Second place is a possibility as Aberdeen seem incapable of avoiding crumbling against Sevco. Hibs are also due a win over Celtic this season.

If we take full points from next 2 games, we'll be in a great position before the split.

At worst 1 point behind the Huns and with Aberdeen having 2 tough away games (Motherwell & Hearts) we have a good chance of closing in on them too.

Ifs and buts but we're still up there, still a bit to go, but the the great thing this season we're not scared of anybody into the run up

The teams in the top six split will be scared of us, now there's a new thing :agree::thumbsup:

Ask me next Saturday night, and also after the post split fixtures have been announced
We’ve got players coming back from injury like Barker, Whittaker and Slivka, as well as McGinn back from suspension, so we’re in a great place to end the season strongly

The season has been brilliant, and its great to be in a position to go for 2nd albeit a tough ask. How much money did Hearts have to steal to get a 2nd place?

But for some of the refereeing decisions we have endured we would be comfortable in second place. Jus saying likes

Aberdeens record outwith the OF is pretty impressive, 18-5-2(who else beat them?)
Combine that with Killie's good record against those two(or ours, But Killie's is wicked) and youve got a contender

Motherwell beat them - they have to go there in midweek.

Would I be correct in saying that after the split it looks like Away to Herts,Sevco and Aberdeen. Home the Smeltic and Killie

What’s the story with Europe? Could we get in Europe if we finish fourth and one of the teams above is wins the Scottish Cup?

Yes 100%. If we finish fourth and Motherwell don’t win the cup then we are in Europe. Finish 2nd and Celtic win the cup and we go into 2nd qualifying round rather than 1st.

Assuming Kilmarnock dont creep into the top three which on current form has an outside chance.

10 behind with only 7 to play. As good as they have been it would take miracles for them to get into the top 3. It’s also the reason why we need to win our last two games before the split as that would, IMO, guarantee top 4 at worst as Kilmarnock won’t make up 7 points, minimum, after the split.

The only team Kilmarnock could catch is us. There's no way they're making up 10 points on Aberdeen or Sevco with just 7 games left, even with the form they're in.
