Just been confirmed he’s dropped out due to injury. Gutted for him

A real shame for him, but I am sure he will feature heavily in this new look squad.

Just rubbish timing to get an injury... from a Scotland POV..... but perhaps from our POV could this press him to agree contract terms with us?

His injury record makes him a gamble for most teams, and the publicity surrounding this latest setback surely will put some potential suitors off.

Absolutely gutted for him too.

Then again, if he keeps playing the way he has in recent weeks then he will get plenty of opportunities for Scotland

Is this a reoccurrance of his previous injury that has blighted him?

That must be a real sickener for him. Hope he makes a speedy recovery from this latest setback.

Gutted for him, he's been sensational for us this season.

On the flip side, yet another injury from nowhere will send alarm bells out to the likes of Aberdeen and other suitors who have witnessed Hibs having to support DM for long spells injured and make them think carefully before jumping in with big money offers. Also, should give DM food for thought when rejecting Hibs latest contract offer.

He should be snapping up that 3 year deal we have offered him then. There is no hiding the fact this reoccurring injury will restrict is career progression to some extent.

Makes it unlikely he'll be stripped for the Partick game now...
Time for Swanson to step up?

Stubbs quoted as saying it is the same injury but Lennon quoted as saying it he has done his abductor.

Aye, bad news for Dylan could be good news for Hibs.

A shame for him but good news for us to be honest.

Now he gets a chance to rest and hopefully get fit for the Partick game.

It was always just a matter of time before that groin went again.... he doesn't have much luck at all

More annoying was that it looked like he actually was training yesterday cant imagine Hibs will be pleased with that.

I fear that these two games were his opportunity to break into Scotland, and it might be some time before that happens again.

Midfield is Scotland strongest position, and if DM is not selected for summer friendlies (still injured or focusing on contract) then I think he'll have trouble breaking into the competitive game squad in Sept/Oct.
