NL is trying really hard not to let his derby record overshadow all the good work he's done at Hibs. But those blasted Yams (and Levein in particular) just keep bottling it when they come across him. Its not Neil's fault.

Without all the attention Hearts get from losing to Hibs, no one who know they even existed.

Neil’s comments are absolutely correct

Of course he wants to win derbies but he knows it’s the about the bigger picture

Look at where this attitude has got Levein

Look at where this attitude has got LeveinThey *****ed all the Walker money on loaning Naismith to ensure we didn’t knock them out of the cup. Their season revolves around not losing to us, and their January panic buys before each cup derby for the past 3 seasons has left them in the mess they’re in now.

We do need to start thinking like a bigger club. We dominate the derby. We get to hampden regularly. Now we need to be a club who wins trophies while truly competing in the league, possibly looking to do a Leicester and of course getting to the group stages in Europe. It all seems a bit of a distance awayat the minute, but in my opinion this is what we should be gearing up for.

Absolutely right - one step at a time, setbacks along the way and all the rest of it but that should definitely be our aim. It might be unlikely but it's not impossible - got to aim high.

Levein showed his hand after the Scottish cup game with his childish natural order pish. Lennon was simply telling us he has bigger plans than just winning derbies. We have a very good manager.

Williamson: won 14%, lost 57%
Mowbray: won 33%, lost 44%
Collins: won 33%, lost 50%
Paatelainen: won 33%, lost 33%
Hughes: won 0%, lost 50%
Calderwood: won 0%, lost 75%
Fenlon: won 20%, lost 50%
Butcher: won 33%, lost 67%

That would have been the best win record since the 70s.

Hearts tried to have a bigger mentality under Burley and Anderton however that’s been undone by Levein who’s entire career is defined by games against one team

Ultimately Lennon knows it’s just 3 points and it’s now just a big deal for the fans, do you think our strikers and Hearts strikers grew up dreaming of playing in an Edinburgh derby? Of course not. All Levein gives a hoot about is beating Hibs whereas Lennon cares more about the wider picture

The only ambition a mid table club like Hearts have is to win a local derby.

Big teams like Hibs aim higher.

If Lennon had came in and lost every Derby he's been in charge of then obviously he'd be defined by those results, fortunately we are dominant right now and hopefully will for years to come. But to say Derby results don't define a manager is *****.

So if we won the league and a few cups but had a poor derby record, how would the manager be viewed in your eyes?
