Certainly an improvement on the horrendous pink effort.

Unless you're palermo teams should stay away from pink as they rarely look good

Probably cost about £55 or some other similarly ridiculous price.

I get enough banter down here supporting a scottish league side.

Why is yellow the colour of one of our national team's shirts?

Didn’t we have similar in the 98 and 92 qualifiers?

I see. Our national flag is blue and white but I get what you're referring to. I'd still rather just have a white top with blue shorts myself.

Had something very similar about ten years ago and it certainly wasn’t £60 when it was first released.

Got the home and away for about a tenner each in JJB. Times have changed. 😞

It’s not bad. Could have done with a richer shade of yellow, but both Home and Away are smart and simple. I like.

How about a delicate shade of purple to represent the heather, ye ken?

Terracing violets?

The costs of manufacture are probably more like a fiver. But then the costs of manufacture for any given good seldom relates to the price charged to consumer at purchase -- the price is set by what the market will bear not the costs of manufacture. If they thought the shirt would sell at £200 or even £500 that's how they would price it.

Personally, the only circumstances I can imagine where I would buy a replica top of any kind is as a present for a child. But each to his own.

A very boring template with a Scotland badge on it. And a very expensive template too.

Whilst our national flag is the saltire of Blue with a White cross the Royal Standard of Scotland is a Red Lion on a Yellow background.

Personally I have no affection for the crown but the SFA is awash with forelock tuggers hence the yellow strip.

Yup. And while people are willing to pay it who can blame them?

Growing up watching Scotland on TV the terraces were a sea of Lion Rampants, (particularly at Wembley!), and when I started going in the early 80’s it seemed to be all Lion Rampants up until the mid 90’s or so before strangely petering out to be overwhelmingly replaced by the saltire. Always wondered why this was the case?

I could live with the £60 if it was to wear it to a tournament. No point otherwise except playing 5s.

I don't mind it. Bit dull but it's a football strip not a fashion statement.

I agree. We force the living wage and support deprived areas with one hand, but cream in the cash on stuff like this with the other.

Imagine the global PR if we sold our National strip at cost price.
