I know this has been discussed here and there in other threads, and it is another Hearts thread, but if it happens I'm going to get seriously drunk.

I don’t think so but hope so. Motherwell have tricky games.

Quite honestly, I don't really care. Would be nice to have another derby, but not that bothered TBH.

I actually hope not. We're in a situation similar to Cathro in the LC earlier this season, whereas as much as it's funny to watch them suffer, we don't want them to get so bad that a change of manager is required - because if Levein were to be dismissed, I think Hearts would go after Clarke again (who rejected them before because of the presence of Levein).

We will look a bit silly discussing this now and getting beat tomorrow. Lets do the business first and then can see how Motherwell get on. It'll take both to win, Hibs and Well, before there is a question over it imo

Let’s not bother about Hertz. Let’s concentrate on our own fate.
In the proverbial cliche of “one game at a time”, if my calculations are right, a win tomorrow guarantees us a top 6 place before the split. That is a much more important achievement in our first season back.
Get that milestone out of the way and we can focus on the final 9 games to get as high in the table as possible.

I would sacrifice a derby for them losing loads of money missing us Celtic rangers at home.

I don't think so. The natives are pretty restless over there.

That Means nothing, the Dr will tell them what to do and they will lap it up.

Also in response to the OP Hearts will finish in top 6. I think realistically St J or Motherwell will get 6points MAX before the split, Hearts really only need 3 from the remaining games to effectively see them over the line.

It MIGHT happen but I think Well and St J have too many tough games compared to Hearts.

I hope they end up in bottom six as it’ll mean less revenue from away fans. Anything that hurts them is good in my books.

Thats just utter tosh.

Say after he took over results didn't improve and they were rooted to the bottom do you think he would be immune to the sack? Absolute nonsense, the Hearts fans would have been up in arms.

This thread is more about wishing rather than fact, I see why we want to see them in the bottom 6, but my worry is every time we think this is it they somehow always seem to come up with that wee bit extra against us.
Lets just get on with our game plan to see how far up this league we can finish, and leave their destiny to them!!!!

Exactly, and they'd all turn up at the AGM and have a vote of no confidence in the Board. That's how fan ownership works, isn't it?

Would it be better for us fixture wise if Motherwell were in the top six? As it stand I think we’re certain to end up with 20 away games and 18 home games.

Motherwell have a tough run in and I don't see them gaining enough ground without hearts totally capitulating.

Let's just win tomorrow and take it from there :greengrin

Bottom six and tinnycastle gets closed down. So they have to hire Murrayfield again but against Hamilton etc so crowds would be nada!!:aok:

I just had a look at the remaining pre-split fixtures and if we give the hertz a sore one tomorrow I think Motherwell will be in with a good chance of catching them. Both will then have 2 winnable games with hertz playing 2 relegation candidates fighting for their lives. Motherwell also play the top 3 sides in 3 consecutive home games which I think they are capable of taking a couple of draws. That leaves hertz with Aberdeen at home which I think could go either way. So imo it's all down to Hibs to get the ball rolling.

I think they will scrape into the top six and that may suit us best. They have an OK record against Aberdeen and they have a chance of points at home to the Rangers. I'd feel more confident going to Tiny than Perth or Fir Park so that suits too. I want us to get into the top three, we haven't been there often in my lifetime and I think Hearts being in the top six might make that easier for us.

Will they? Yes probably by the skin of their teeth. Do i want them to? No. I don't want Hearts in the top six. Infact i don't want Hearts in the top division. I want them to fail miserably every time they step on the park. Couldn't care less if it ment not having a derby to look forward to.

Motherwell are likely to need around 10 points from their next 5 games to finish above Hearts. I personally don't see that happening.

Hope they lose every game but sneak into top 6. Maybe actually get 1 point against the dons. Then lose every game after the split, again maybe sneak a point against Aberdeen. We then win a few games and finish 20 clear of them, making me £200 up from my jambo pal.

Is it 20 points or nothing, or are you on £10 a point spread bet?
